This is part of my purpose to playthrough all six of these. We arrive at Troia but this place has problems of its own. First up, we find Edward who is in really bad shape. He did survive but he wants to give us the Twin Harp. What for? I'm not sure. We'll find out. Anyway, the rest of the party need to head for the Magnetic Cavern but to get there, they need to seek out the Black Chocobo. FF4 introduces the Black Chocobo. They can fly but can only land in forests. The Magnetic Cavern's gimmick is that you can't use anything metal. Rely on using wooden gear and the like. At least until the end. Having Tellah can help in terms of magic but overall, expect some tough resistance. Eventually you face the Dark Elf who stops them. But then Edward, with whatever strength he has, plays music and it disorients the Elf. Use this opportunity to re-equip your party and then go all out. Eventually it'll become the Dark Dragon. After it goes down, we get the Crystal of Earth. But as we gear up, Kain comes in and we have to go with him to the Tower of Zot. The Tower of Zot is a dungeon of sorts but the real threats are up ahead. First are the Magus Sisters: Sandy, Mindy and Cindy. These three can be trouble but not impossible. First take out the middle sister Cindy as she can revive the others. Then the younger sister Mindy and finally the oldest Sandy. With them defeated, we reach up and meet up with Golbez. But Golbez is a deceitful scumbag and decides to get rid of everyone. But Tellah's had enough and is ready to seek his vengeance. I always say that revenge is a worthless cause and Tellah is a perfect example of it. Tellah's desire to take down Golbez poisoned his soul. In the end, he does Meteor and is able to severely damage his foe. However the price he was willing to pay was high as Meteor ends up taking his life. But this also breaks Golbez's control over Kain. He departs, having gotten what he wanted. Kain is back with the party but then they head in and save Rosa. In the original version, she was going to die by a huge scythe but the “American” version replaced it with a metal ball. Either way, Rosa is saved and Cecil's party gained new allies. But there's one other threat, the third Elemental Fiend, Barbariccia. In “that” version, she was known as Valvalis. The strategy for her is simple. Kain needs to do Jump attacks while Rosa focuses on healing. Once that fiend is out of the tornado form, attack. It's not a hard fight. You just got to watch out for her Tornado attack which reduces your HP to single digits. Eventually Barbariccia falls but with Golbez having all the crystals, what will he do now? Turns out he only has half of them. He needs to get the other crystals, the Dark Crystals and they are found underground. If anyone's wondering about Part 10, here's what happened. While trying to render the video, I discovered that Part 2 of the three part video I did was corrupted. Because of that when I did render the video, it if would go from a frame to the next and repeats. It's a mess. An absolute mess. I feel that I can't provide a product if the result turns out not to be satisfactory. Basically Part 10 was devoted to a huge collecathon that lasted an hour and a half. I was able to get every T.W.I.T Token, every Tonic, the remaining Beetallions and acquired a REAL fourth slot. Now it comes to this. Time for us to take on The Impossible Lair. The Impossible Lair is the final challenge and you will require to get all 48 Beetallions if you are to survive. It took me eight tries to do it because this lair requires you to conquer it all with as minimum damage as possible. As you progress, you face Capital B a total of four times. Each later time is where the battles get harder and his attacks get vicious. In the end, we defeat Capital B and then we need to head out aka self-destruct. Overall, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a massive step up from the original. Going from 3D to 2D is a smart move. Plus the fact that every stage has an alternate version adds more and it makes you wonder what to expect. It's so cool. I don't regret playing it.
