I used both and am happy with both. I own a AR 15 with 62 gr. FMJ steel core ammo. It is a piston gas system. It is easier & cheaper for me to run the AR 15 with no or little recoil, & soooo accurate. Instead of shooting 400 yards easy I can shoot 600 yards easy. **** MOST shootouts are 500 yards or less and often times less. So you can use either or both but do not let people talk down to you for choosing one or the other. We all are gun owners, and we stand together, or should for that matter.
