Vergessen ist nicht vergangen spielt im Minental von Khorinis. Die Geschichte wurde vom Gothic-Comic inspiriert. So erfährst du, was kurz vor der Ankunft des namenlosen Helden in der Kolonie geschah und warum die Kolonie in Gothic 1 so ist, wie sie ist.
Das Mod-Team hatte sich zum Ziel gesetzt den Gothic1-Stil zu erhalten. Neue Features wurden sehr sparsam eingefügt und die, die es in die Mod schafften, stark an G1 angepasst. Auch wurde der ruppige Ton zwischen den Buddlern und seitens der Gardisten erhöht, sodass das Gefühl eines schwachen und wehrlosen Buddlers verstärkt wird, der sich in einer Ellbogen-Gesellschaft durchkämpft.
