This requires an Eon Ticket that can be obtained from a certain Nintendo Event. With the Eon Ticket, go to the shipyard in Lilycove City and the attendant will examine the ticket you have so you can be eligible to go to the Southern Island. At the Southern Island, save your game in front of the mysterious ball. Interact with the mysterious ball and Latios will arrive. Latios is on Level 50. Its signature move is Luster Purge, a move that will lower the target’s Special Defense stat 50% of the time when the move hits. Use Ultra Balls and status problems for a better capture result. Once you capture Latios, you’ll notice that it is holding a special item called Soul Dew. Soul Dew raises the Special Attack and Special Defense stats if held by Latias or Latios.

After beating the Elite Four, watch TV at home in Littleroot Town that will tell about a certain Pokémon roaming the Hoenn region. Look all over the Hoenn routes to search for this Pokémon. If you find what the news told about, the Pokémon is identified to be Latias. Latias is on Level 40. Roaming Pokémon flee on the first turn when encountering them. Keep checking your Pokédex to get a location of the roaming Pokémon and it will change route if you change areas. If you still have the Master Ball, it would be the time to use it. If not, use any Pokémon that knows Mean Look to prevent the Pokémon from getting away then use Ultra Balls. Latias has a signature move called Mist Ball, having a 50% chance of lowering the target’s Special Attack stat.

Ride an Albatoss that goes left and you’ll find a landing between pillars. Pick up the vegetable and a rocket will take you higher into the sky. Pass some Snifits then make a return trip around the clouds and pillars to get to the other side of the tall pillar. Go up the ladder and you’ll see fuzzballs on pegs. Go up some ladders and you’ll see Hoopsters as well as Snifits. Go to the top and enter the boss room to take on a cyborg. Hit the cyborg with the block 3 times so you can grab the jewel to open the gate.

With this item, go to Canalave City and enter a house that was previously locked but now open. You may want to save your game before entering the house. A sailor will tell you that you’re about to have a nightmare and you’ll end up on Newmoon Island. Enter the forest where Darkrai is. Darkrai is on Level 40. It has an ability called Bad Dreams, which slightly damages sleeping opponents every turn. Darkrai has a combo using Hypnosis and Nightmare. Wait until night time and use Dusk Balls. After the battle, you’ll find yourself back at Canalave City. When Darkrai reaches Level 66, it will learn its signature move called Dark Void. Dark Void puts all opponents to sleep.

After getting the Magma Stone on Route 18, go to Reversal Mountain and enter a cave where Bianca directed before so you can find Heatran. Save your game before you interact. Heatran is on Level 68. Fire type moves won’t work on it due to its Flash Fire ability. Dusk Balls would be recommended since you’re battling in a cave. When Heatran reaches Level 96, it learns its signature move called Magma Storm, which will prevent the target from fleeing and switching out for 2-5 turns.
