We purchased this M600 Pro from Phoenix LIDAR a couple months ago and signal strength has been weak since the first flight. But all of the sudden today we get 100% connection strength for ONE FLIGHT. But then all subsequent flights drop back down to 70% from 15' away. Maddening.
Anybody else seeing this?
This video isn't exciting or entertaining on purpose. I didn't want to cut out any footage. I sped up many parts to move it along, but nothing was cut out.

Okay...here's a second video to demonstrate this beeping issue. Hopefully this video is a little clearer than the previous one.

The "Fusion 505" room at the Hard Rock Casino in Albuquerque, N.M. is one of the toughest rooms I mix. No matter what I do, it always seems it's right on the edge of feedback. And Soul Divine, having 5 members with 4 vocalists, 4 keyboards, and guys switching instruments, is a bit of a challenge to mix. However you couldn't ask for a nicer group of guys. Always seems the more talented the musician, the nicer they are and the easier they are to work with. Hopefully I'll get to mix them someday in a room that isn't all concrete, glass, stainless steel and on a stage shaped like a speaker horn.

Managing the RE650 on a PUBLIC NETWORK can be frustrating. TP-Link seems to assume you're going to set this baby up once, and leave it. Maybe for most folks, but not for me. I plan on using the RE650 on many different public networks. I want to toss it in my suitcase and use it in places where WiFi is spotty...like a hotel, for instance. Of course I will NOT have admin access to any of these networks. TP-Link assumes you will have admin access to every network you use this on. Not true for public networks. So I had to find workarounds.
Apps....I hate apps....
If you're like me, you don't want to use apps. I hate apps. I feel more comfortable managing any network device via a browser. The problem is that, logically, I would think the RE650 would behave like a router repeater. But it doesn't. It's its own animal. Throw out router conventions. This baby behaves differently.
I hope this video takes some of the mystery out of managing this beast. This video is for those who plan on using this device to increase the range of "Guest" networks. Good news. It CAN be done...and you don't need no steenkin' apps.
