Gilbert O'Sullivan 'So What' (William Alexander Smith) GOS 1/12 c1985 Not a lot happened in the 80's following 'Life & Rhymes', I spent most of my time looking for anything non UK and building my demo collection, that was until the ultra brilliant (see what I did there) 'Frobisher Drive' '87 in Germany and 'In The Key Of G' in '89. both contained 'So What' which made a chart entry thanks to its 12" (italo) mix being a Record Mirror Club chart success under 'Go'Ss' (E-AllorA). Well 'So What', you may ask, well it appears as 'So What' had been around for a couple of years, the exact date is unclear but the run-out groove on GOS 1/12 has 1/85S which I took as 1985.
