COBOL is a compiled English-like computer programming language designed for business use. It is imperative, procedural and, since 2002, object-oriented. COBOL is primarily used in business, finance, and administrative systems for companies and governments. COBOL is still widely used in legacy applications deployed on mainframe computers, such as large-scale batch and transaction processing jobs.

COBOL is without a doubt, a strong and concise programming language. Its use in legacy applications and business applications makes it a very strong language, especially in the business world.
However, COBOL is not used in new applications nowadays. Most programming in COBOL is now purely to maintain existing applications.

Pomodoro Technique & Time Management (Productivity Hacks)
The Pomodoro Technique is a wide technique used to boost productivity and help with a lot of time management problems.
For those who don't know, the Pomodoro technique consists in using a timer to break down work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks. These intervals are named pomodoros, the plural in English of the Italian word pomodoro (tomato), after the tomato-shaped kitchen timer that Cirillo used as a university student.
There are six stages in the technique:
Decide on the task to be done.
- Set the pomodoro timer (traditionally to 25 minutes).
- Work on the task until the timer rings. If a distraction pops into your head, write it down, but immediately get back on task.
- After the timer rings, put a checkmark on a piece of paper.
- If you have fewer than four checkmarks, take a short break (3–5 minutes), then go to step 1.
- After four pomodoros, take a longer break (15–30 minutes), reset your checkmark count to zero, then go to step 1.

C Programming Language: Is It Useful?
A lot of developers ask me about "C" and "C++" and all of its possible variations.
The C Programming languages are known for all of its possible variations and for its complexity, making it kind of hard to learn.
Said that, you'll have to spend and invest some time if you really want to learn the C Programming Languages... However, is it really useful?
"C is a general-purpose, imperative computer programming language, supporting structured programming, lexical variable scope and recursion, while a static type system prevents many unintended operations. By design, C provides constructs that map efficiently to typical machine instructions, and therefore it has found lasting use in applications that had formerly been coded in assembly language, including operating systems, as well as various application software for computers ranging from supercomputers to embedded systems."

Motivation is something that drives us.The best things we do, we do it when we are motivated. As I often say, things become VERY EASY to do when you're motivated.
But motivation does not last for too long. We usually have a peak of motivation, often followed by a normalization of things again. And this oscillation of things can harm our productivity.
Once motivation fades away, procrastination appears. We tend to put our projects aside and forget about them. We engage in other types of activities. And we lose track.
