It was an honor and privilege for me to have a small "discussion" with Trizen...one of my Open Source heroes. He is the developer of Obmenu-Generator and much more!

If you're using the Alpha version and want an update notifier, you can download one from the following link...

This video is just a joke but somewhat expresses what many people feel, think, or say under similar circumstances.
I unashamedly stole the fast forward idea of leaving the audio included from Dennis (Life, Home, and my Linux Journeys)

When right-clicking on the volume icon, nothing happens when you choose "Preferences". To fix this...
1. Open the file manager, show hidden files, go to the .config folder, and REMOVE the volumeicon folder.
2. Open your terminal, and enter...
sudo apt-get remove --purge volumeicon-alsa*
(You will get a warning that the directory /usr/share/volumeicon/icons isn't empty, so it's not removed. That's okay...it's just due to some extra volume icons that I included so that the user will have more choices to choose from.)
3. Enter the following command...
sudo apt-get install volumeicon-alsa
4. I prefer to reboot after this, but you may be able to simply log out and log back in for it to take effect.

Alter Linux is a very beautiful and professionally produced Arch Linux distro from Japan. From what I've read, Alter Linux is trying to make it easier for Ubuntu (or Debian) users to switch over to Arch from Debian-based systems.
As such, aliases have been provided out of the box which will allow users to use "apt" or "apt-get" commands to perform commands on Arch.
The .isos are available as i686 and x86_64 variants.
The .isos are also available as Japanese versions or non-Japanese versions. The Japanese version .isos are denoted with JP following the desktop name; such as, Cinnamon-JP. Whereas, the non-Japanese .iso versions will only have the desktop name.
Alter Linux can be downloaded here...

Firefox Quantum
PLEASE NOTE: This will download the latest version that is currently available at the time in which this video was made.
Open your terminal, and change to the Public directory:
cd ~/Public
To download the 64 bit tar:
wget https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/67.0.4/linux-x86_64/en-US/firefox-67.0.4.tar.bz2
To download the 32 bit tar:
wget https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/67.0.4/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-67.0.4.tar.bz2
Unpack the tar (works with either version):
tar xfj firefox-67.0.4.tar.bz2
You can then run firefox from the terminal with this command:
~/Public/firefox/firefox
Or, create a launcher for it in ~/.local/share/applications with the following information:
After going to ~/.local/share/applications, right-click on an empty space in order to create a new Empty file, and name it something like myfirefox.desktop
Paste the following into the newly created file...
[Desktop Entry]
Name=Firefox
Exec=~/Public/firefox/firefox
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Categories=Network;
Icon=firefox
Save and close the file, and it should appear in your menu.

Just a quick peek around at how the new .iso acts on my hardware. This was the first build (alpha), so I'm still working on it. :)
