All you need is:
Are you tired of buying milk, or looking for dairy-free alternatives? All you need is about five minutes and four ingredients to make your own! This recipe was sooooo easy and it’s delicious and nutritious!
1/2 cup Almonds (raw/unsalted)
2 cups Ice Water
4-5 Dates
Nutmeg
Vanilla (optional)
The great thing about this recipe is all it really takes is five minutes. First, it begins with putting in a half a cup of almonds inside a blender. Then two cups of ice water, although ice usually doesn’t have a role. However since the almonds weren’t soaked overnight in this case, ice helps break them down in the blending process.
After the ice water, that’s when we put our flavor such as four to five dates, a couple sprinkles of nutmeg and even vanilla too if you prefer sweeter almond milk. With all of our ingredients together, all we got to do is blend it for two minutes and then strain it whether it be through a strainer, a nut bag, or even paper towels. The leftover pulp can be used for other recipes like oatmeal, almond flour and many more!
Then with just that, you’re done! You got yourself some homemade almond milk!

We are getting so much done in our offgrid shipping containers. It really feels like home. The serenity is priceless.
We are ready to use our huge soaking tub because we have hot water AND we built a barn door so the bathroom now has privacy!!
We also re-planted the garden and put lights outside the container. Of course it's never without a few unexpected issues, but we always get through them.
Of course we work hard but we play harder so watch until the end for some new dance moves.

We are back in Texas working on the off-grid shipping containers that we built on a budget of $50K.
After being gone for nearly a year, we had lots of work to do before we could even focus on our priority, which is more solar power. We ran into several issues; for one, the weeds, grass and whatever else decided to grow while we were gone is higher than my waist in some areas. Plus, our new solar panels arrived crushed. But we still got a lot done and had time for lots of fun.

GreenDesert OFFGRID : Safiyyah finally got her luggage after leaving it all the way in Phoenix. So we moved on to choosing our paint -- we chose Solemn Silence! After painting nearly 70 boards, we put the tongue and groove on the walls. The process was actually pretty smooth, until we realized we started on the wrong wall. So we had to take it all down and started over again. We got help catching back up from our engineer at Kode-X Rising and eventually Safiyyah and I got our jobs took by a 14 year old. So we were reassigned.
Instead we focused on painting the rest of the boards once they were up on a wall. The paint gun we bought was an epic fail so we painted the old fashioned way. In the end… the walls look great!
