Ribbit Is a Digital Text messaging mode for VHF/UHF communications.
It's much like APRS but does not rely on a cable or audio interface to function, it can use any modern Android smartphone at the time of the video.
It's project lead is Pierre Deliou, and it is being hosted by the Open Research Institute.

This is a video demonstration and review of a "12V 30A 360W AC to DC Switch Power Supply Transformer" that Ibought from Ebay last year.
This power supply is currently priced on Ebay at $20.99
I bought it for my mobile last year and ended up moving it to my car.
I'm now using it to power my FT-450D, and it is working wonders.
I'm able to get a full 100w output from this power supply continuously.
It gets a little warm, but the cooling fans keep it within acceptable temperature range.
You can get this power supply on ebay here:

This was a lot of updates packed into one video.
I've upgraded my ham radio licence to general.
This means a lot more content is going to be focused toward HF, but there will still be videos of satellite work.
The Rig I purchased is the Ft-450D, and the box is an Apache 5800.
HF Videos are coming Soon!

This is the first video in a playlist intended to address the wide disbursement of packet radio knowledge.
This video covers the concept of packet radio it's history, APRS, BBS(bulletin board systems), TNC's like direwolf, and TCP/IP over packet radio. After this you will have a good foundation on the current state of packet radio in the ham or amateur radio community. Next we will talk about the most popular software TNC, direwolf, and set it up for future videos.
You can see a short write up of this video, as well as download the presentation form my website at:

This video is a demonstration on how with a simple RTL-SDR, and a raspberry pi, you can conduct a replay attack with many devices that utilize RF frequency to send information over the air.
This video also serves to bring awareness of modern day vulnerabilities when using these devices as a means to secure your possessions.
Devices used:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/products/raspberry-pi-3-model-b-plus/
https://www.rtl-sdr.com/buy-rtl-sdr-dvb-t-dongles/
Commands used:
RPITX INSTALL:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install git
git clone https://github.com/F5OEO/rpitx
cd rpitx
./install.sh
RTL_SDR INSTALL:
git clone https://github.com/keenerd/rtl-sdr
cd rtl-sdr/
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ../ -DINSTALL_UDEV_RULES=ON
make
sudo make install
sudo ldconfig
RECORD RF:
rtl_sdr -s 25000 -g 35 -f 315.0125e6 filename.iq
TRANSMIT RF:
sudo ./sendiq -s 25000 -f 315.0125e6 -t u8 -i filename.iq

Someone emailed me the other day after working FT8 for my first few days with a screenshot of my radios signal on his waterfall, and a third order harmonic.
He attached a document with a lot of good information on tuning a radio for FT8 and other digital modes.
After doing a little research into what ALC(Automatic Level Control) is and what it does, I experimented until I found a "sweet spot" where I could transmit higher power without it resulting in distorted audio, or my radios ALC kicking in.
By tweaking a few settings I was able to achieve a nice middle ground and eliminated my third order harmonic.
I am by no means an expert, so suggestions and corrections are welcome. But I wanted to bring this to light, and share how I fixed this on my ft-450.
This ducument was sent to me by a Mike Black/W9MDB and apears to be created by a Eric Spero/WA1SXK as well.
Full credit goes to these two for this document.
