(Reupload) Honda CB125F Adventure Bike FEAT. The Crash In Detail
It should be no secret that I'm not afraid to take this bike down some pretty sketchy tracks on road tyres, but I honestly believe that this bike handles itself superbly on uneven surfaces. Even though I crashed today, it proved to me that it took a massive patch of deep powder in the road that I mistook for hard packed clay to upset the bike. And let me add to the fact that I have been riding for less than a year, so I am still an inexperienced rider but I'm not afraid to push the limits of my riding ability. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEOjaTeuXUs
I've lost count of the number of times I've gone out to narrate a ride only to get back to discover that the audio is utterly useless. However, despite the audible and excessive wind noise, I've developed a microphone set up that doesn't drown out my voice because of a blown out mic. However I still think the weakest link in my setup is my cheap helmet, which is a very noisy place for a rider to be.

"THE HILL"
The best thing about using a 56 tooth sprocket is the low end torque (at the cost of top speed) and the best way to test it out is a big old hill climb.
The Hill has been the proving point of all of my builds, it is long, slow and steep. According to the GoPro GPS in a previous video the tarmac section of this hill is a 162m climb. Then it turns to gravel and continues up into the mountains, at which point the GPS loses reception and we can't get any reliable data from it.
I cut out most of the climb as I have plenty of videos on this road, showing mainly the steepest parts.
The Mk3 performed so spectacularly it was able to climb for the most part at half to three-quarter throttle. I don't spend too much time at wide open because the most important thing I have learned from building these bikes is mechanical sympathy. Something that not a lot of people seem to have. You know, the ones that belong to the "these engines are crap" crowd.

Movavi Video Editor provides its users with a royalty free music library, yet YouTube consistently flags the music as copyrighted content and demonetises the video. Movavi has provided me with these instructions:
"You can let them know that you have a Movavi software license, and Movavi has a partnership with Jamendo. Jamendo is a stock service providing copyright-free media, and Movavi has access to their extensive library of these media files."
This short video is being uploaded in order to challenge YouTube's demonetisation strikes, following the advice given to me by Movavi. I'll let you know how it went in the comments below.

Think of it as a mini clip show, as when I was recording, I didn't actually have much confidence that the audio was going to be very good, so I didn't really put much effort into trying to keep up the commentary. I'm glad I was mistaken, though, as this was recorded in what I consider to be worst-case conditions - high, blustery wind. The RØDE Go lav mic handled these conditions with ease and it gives me high hopes for recording in the future.

Less chatter, more twisties in this video as I take the route from Korumburra to Drouin trying to familiarise myself with the 2014 KTM 390 Duke.

It is ridiculously easy to swap the carb over, provided you've already changed the HP carb's throttle cable "elbow" to the NT's stubby one - there's no need to worry about needing a new cable, the standard one works just fine.
I actually threaded the cable into the throttle slide in reverse, so I don't have to worry about grinding the tip of the cable down to fit inside the slide. It means that I have to bend the cable almost at right angles, but I haven't found this to affect the operation of the throttle at all.
But is the "High Performance" carb an instant upgrade? Let's find out!

This HP Carb did not come with an air filter, which I had to order separately.
I have a carb with no filter so I do what I seem to do best: Bodge it up out of spare parts!

I used whatever I could to replace some missing body panel bolts from the 2014 KTM 390 Duke. They don't match, but they fit, and now the body panels are secure. My local KTM dealership says the correct bolts are on back order and won't be here until August (2 months!) so this is a solution that will get me through in the short term.
