Ryobi 40 volt Expand-It Pole Saw Cuts Down A Big Dead Tree Limb with Battery Power
I recently bought the Ryobi Expand-It Pole Saw attachment for my Ryobi 40-volt system. It was about $100 at Home Depot. Easy to put together, just unbox, remove the chain cover, put in some bar chain oil (included), attach it to your 40-volt system, and you're ready to start cutting.
I used the pole saw to cut down some dead branches on various trees that were too thick for my manual lopper.
In this video, I have already cut down a dead branch that was about 4 or 5 inches in diameter but quite long. It only took a few seconds of cutting and then gravity took over.
The pole saw seems like a good "intermediate" tool. You definitely don't want to use a chainsaw on a ladder! Anything higher or thicker than what this Ryobi pole saw can cut will be done by a professional.
When operating the Ryobi pole saw you should use appropriate clothing, eye, hand, and head protection.
