During your post-game quest, meet Cheren at Route 5 then he will go to Victory Road. Meet him at the cave that is the exit to the Pokémon League so you can battle him. You can battle him once per day. For this round, he adds Gigalith and Haxorus. Gigalith holds Leftovers so it slightly regains HP every turn and will use Stealth Rock to injure those who switch out. Haxorus holds a Dragon Gem, making its Outrage even more powerful for one use until becoming confused after 2-3 turns. The starter Pokémon holds a Focus Sash, allowing it to survive any attack if full on HP for one use. After getting the Magma Stone on Route 18, go to Reversal Mountain and enter a cave where Bianca directed before so you can find Heatran. Save your game before you interact. Heatran is on Level 68. Fire type moves won’t work on it due to its Flash Fire ability. Dusk Balls would be recommended since you’re battling in a cave. When Heatran reaches Level 96, it learns its signature move called Magma Storm, which will prevent the target from fleeing and switching out for 2-5 turns.

After defeating Cyrus, go to the laboratory of the Team Galactic HQ and you’ll enter the room with 3 legendary Pokémon captured. Battle Saturn for the 2nd time. Bronzor, this time can be tricky as it uses Confuse Ray to confuse opponents and make them flinch using Extrasensory. Toxicroak replaces Mud Bomb with X-Scissor. After the battle, press the switch to free the legendary then go to Mt. Coronet for the grand battle against Team Galactic.

After a 48-win streak in the Super Multi Station, you’ll battle both Ingo and Emmet once more. Excadrill holds a Life Orb for more power but at the expense of HP after each hit. Haxorus holds a Yache Berry and will use Dragon Dance then unleash a big attack. Eelektross will use Thunder Wave and even Gastro Acid to remove abilities. Go after Archeops immediately when it comes out and make its HP less than half so it causes less damage by acting Defeatist but it also knows Protect. After winning, you’ll receive 30 BP.

At the top of the Bell Tower, save your game before you begin to interact. Ho-Oh is on Level 45. Its signature move is Sacred Fire, which has a 50% chance of burning the target. The move can also be used if the user is frozen and thaws it out. Ultra Balls would be recommended to capture it, or you can wait until night to use Dusk Balls.

This stage has many pipes. Hit an invisible block and the one above it for multiple coins, then go down the pipe left from it to collect coins underground. Back on the surface, go down another pipe that leads to an underwater area for more coins. If you’re still on the surface, pass some more pipes and hit another invisible block along with the garbage block above it to reveal a vine to collect more coins in the sky. If you’re still on the surface, pass more pipes and hit one block to reveal a flashing vase. Go down another pipe for more coins and return to the surface to see an incoming winged shellcreeper and a pipe on the stairway. Safely cross to reach the flagpole.

After getting 4 badges and the HM03 (Surf) from Cynthia’s grandmother at Celestic Town, you can now enter the gym at Hearthome City. This gym has signs that quiz you and you must pick the right door to go through to get the question right. If you guess right, you’ll enter the next room. If you guess wrong, you’ll face a trainer. After guessing 4 questions right, you’ll battle the gym leader. Fantina uses Ghost type Pokémon. Drifblim will use Minimize to make itself harder to hit then Ominous Wind to sometimes raise its stats. Landing the finishing move with contact on Drifblim causes its Aftermath ability to reduce their HP by a quarter of the maximum. Gengar will use Confuse Ray to confuse opponents then Poison Jab to poison them. Mismagius will use Magical Leaf as a never-miss attack and Psybeam to confuse opponents. After the battle, you’ll receive the Relic Badge and a TM65 (Shadow Claw). Shadow Claw has a high critical hit ratio.

Navigate the Sewer and you’ll eventually encounter a Hermit. The Hermit will attacks with its pincers, which could sometimes paralyze. If it hides in its shell, its defense goes up. It is weak against electrical attacks, but more resistant to fire by casting a spell. After the battle, you’ll receive a key, which can be used to open the doors in the Sewer.

After getting 7 badges, you’ll be able to enter the Team Galactic HQ located at Veilstone City. Use warp panels to navigate the headquarters and you’ll eventually reach the boss Cyrus for a first battle. Murkrow will use Embargo to prevent item usage on the affected Pokémon for 5 turns, its breeding technique Drill Peck, and Astonish to make targets flinch. Golbat will use Supersonic to confuse opponents and poison them using Poison Fang. Sneasel will use Ice Punch to freeze opponents and finish them off using Quick Attack. After the battle, you’ll receive a Master Ball. Continue on into the laboratory of the HQ where you’ll next see 3 legendary Pokémon captured.
