Welcome to album review Tuesdays here on the channel and tonight we are going deep beneath the earth into Australia for a look at a band that for many is either loved or hated and that’s fine.
Im not a fan of his new work but nonetheless his old work is nothing short of incredible if you’re a fan of raw depressive misanthropic black metal. Folks tonight we are having a look at Striborg-Depressive Hibernation released in 2008 on on Aphelion Productions. Originally released in 2005 on Asgard Musik.
Sin-Nanna is the only member of Striborg and has a number of releases that is quite extensive. His most recent foray has seen him move into blackwave/electronic which I absolutely cannot stand. However his black metal material has always had a strong presence in the underground and I imagine it always will. He also released a DVD in 2007 titled “Journey Of A Misanthrope” and was also featured in the 2010 documentary “One Man Metal” alongside Elites Leviathan and Xasthur.

Welcome to album review Tuesdays here on the channel and tonight we are going deep beneath the earth in Portugal with Ars Diavoli-Pro Nihilo Esse. Released in 2008 on Debemur Morti Productions. Ars Diavoli is a DSBM project and is comprised soley of one member Marco Galrito. He is also a member of the doom metal band Dawnrider and has played with other various bands within Portugal.
He formed Ars Diavoli back in 2005 and was part of a split release in 2006. Since then he has released 2 full-lengths, a demo, a split and an EP. Pro Nihlio Esse is one of the best DSBM albums of all time in my opinion and definitely one you’re going to want to get if you’re a fan of Misanthropic Black Metal.

Welcome to album ranking Wednesdays here on the channel and tonight I am ranking one of my favorite and in my opinion amongst the gods of brutal death metal with NILE albums ranked. That’s right folks, these guys are absolute legends and have never really compromised on their approach and vision for creating brutal/technical death metal. But this band isn’t overly technical to the point of absurdity as they know when it incorporate it and when to lay back on it. Now the band formed back in Greenville North Carolina in 1993.
In the late 1980s way prior to forming Nile, Sanders played with the thrash band Morriah & shared the stage with Morbid Angel, among other prominent metal bands. In fact, Nile's first demo was markedly redolent of that thrash identity which outweighed any of the death metal elements that would later define the band's sound.
The band categorize their music as "Ithyphallic Metal", in reference to its epic Egyptian themes.
Now the current lineup is as follows.
Karl Sanders Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Bağlama, Bouzouki (1993-present)
George Kollias Drums, Percussion
Brad Parris Bass, Vocals
Brian Kingsland Guitars, Vocals
Alright so lets get into the ranking now shall we?
➤#9-At The Gate Of Sethu (Released in 2012 on Nuclear Blast Records)
➤#8-Those Whom The Gods Detest (Released in 2009 on Nuclear Blast Records)
➤#7-Black Seeds of Vengence (Released in 2000 on Relapse Records)
➤#6-What Should Not Be Unearthed (Released in 2015 on Nuclear Blast Records)
➤#5-In Their Darkest Shrines (Released in 2002 on Relapse Records)
➤#4-Ithyphalic (Released in 2007 on Nuclear Blast Records)
➤#3-Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka (Released in 1998 on Relapse Records)
➤#2-Vile Nilotic Rites (Released in 2019 on Nuclear Blast Records)
➤#1-Annihilation Of The Wicked (Released in 2005 on Relapse Records)
Alright so there you have it another album ranking in the books here on music of destruction. I hope you enjoyed tonights premiere!

Welcome to album review Tuesdays here on the channel and tonight we are going to Brazil and back to the year 1986 with an absolute thrash metal classic that many of you will probably know with Sepultura-Morbid Visions. Now keep in mind that I do own the Bestial Devastation EP which was released in 1985 but is included on this version of Morbid Visions, I am only covering Morbid Visions in this video. Bestial Devastation will be a separate video!
Now Morbid Visions was released in 1986 on Cogumelo Records and the line-up at this time consisted of
Max Cavalera on Vocals and guitars
Igor Cavalera on Drums
Jairo T on Bass and Lead Guitars
Alright so before we get into the review im going to give you guys some background history on Sepultura! Hailing from Brazil's third largest city, Belo Horizonte, Sepultura (which means "grave" in Portuguese) were formed in the mid-'80s, a period during which that country was beginning to emerge from a 20-year military dictatorship. Max Cavalera (vocals/guitar), Igor Cavalera (drums), Paulo Jr. (bass), and Jairo T. (lead guitar) had a hard time even finding rock & roll albums, especially those "socially unacceptable" genres such as heavy metal and punk.
Their early influences were Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Slayer (literally the first three records purchased by Max on a visit to the "big city," São Paulo), but the band soon progressed toward a death metal sound, inspired by emerging groups such as Possessed and Death. Their drive and determination (they sang in English from day one) more than made up for their geographic isolation and inexperience, and though they were only in their teens and still learning how to play their instruments, the band quickly evolved into an underground contender.
