Raspberry Pi Octoprint power troubleshooting with USB inline voltmeter current meter lightning bolt
I always get a power warning lightning bolt when I use my USB buck powered off my 3D printers power supply. My printer has a 40 amp power supply so I doubt that is the problem. I was troubleshooting blind because I could not see in real time what the raspberry Pi was drawing. My USB buck and out 3.4 amps. More then enough for raspberry Pi 3 B+. I ordered another USB buck with a variable output power adjustment.
I was looking for a small computer ITX computer case to fit in my network rack. I'm making a new firewall to take advantage of my faster internet speed. My current firewall is bottle necking my internet down to 100 megabits. I could have printed out a case on my 3D printer but after filament and the cost of the power buttons It was only a few dollars more.

I had a leak in my Saginaw power steering pump and finally decided to deal with it. I wanted to save the reservoir because these hydro boost bodies are getting harder to find. I also noticed this new pump is allot quieter the last pump.

I love this little printer. Its my first and best printer. I've worked on over a hundred printers and I haven't had one print better. I'm not sure if its the small form factor or low inertia of the moving axis. Slow moving lead screw. I've done several major upgrades to this printer over the years. One the cool features of the SKR Pico is the out of box support to capacitive and inductive sensors. The issue with these sensors is that they usually need 6V+ to work reliable. The typical endstop plug supplies 5V. The pico supplies 12V-24V. My original idea was to power the Pi and LCD from the pico board. Its testing it worked. When I got everything hooked up it was dropping down to 4.65V. I had to install a buck convert to get rid of the power warning.

I was looking for a small LCD panel that can directly communicate with marlin. These old style LCD's are a great way to modify babystepping, esteps, jerk and acceleration in real time. This one also has RGB lighting controlled by the Neopixel settings in Marlin 2.0. On the SKR 1.3 board just define the following in the configuration.h file
#define NEOPIXEL_LED
#define FYSETC_MINI_12864_2_1

Were going to rent this cabin out when were not there and one of the requirements was to put in a staircase hand rail. I decided to go pick some steel up on the local meta supply company. I figured I could weld something together.

I need to get a more power supply for my new anytone AT-6666 transceiver. This thing puts 60 watt SSB and I was getting a DC low error with my current power brick. I was looking for something with a small form factor that would fit under my computer monitor.
