We missed our hometown, not only the people but also the food. Our place in Palompon produces one of the best dried boneless Danggit. Being stranded here in the city because of General Community Quarantine make us always look forward to that special dish back home. So we decided to have it today on our table (Fried Boneless Danggit + Sunny Side Up).
Join us today as we enjoy this delicious Pinoy breakfast exactly the way we wanted.

A few days ago, we visited this newest food hub in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, at Mercato De Mactan. Like Sugbo Mercado, it is an open space for vendors and diners, with a wide selection of foods and drinks. If you are in the Northern part of Cebu, you can check this one.
Do you want to know what's in Mercato de Mactan? Check the video, and you will have an idea of what this place is all about. Who knows, you can visit the city of Lapu-Lapu and might have some food trip at this food hub.

We noticed leaking in our small Fish Bowl for our Cherry Shrimp. So, without a choice, we need to replace a new one. We visited a nearby pet shop to buy the things that we need.
We just transferred everything into the new Fish Bowl. We also added white sand for our base. We did not transfer the shrimp yet since we are still thinking about the new species that we are going to buy.
You can watch the video on the link below on how we set up the old one.

Testing out my DIY Aluminum Coffee Can Alcohol Stove made using a single can for a boil test.
I used Toaks 550ml Titanium Pot and around 2 Cups of water.
Boil time is around 4-5minutes. Next time ill be testing it with a wind screen and see any improvements of the boil time.
I will be using this cook kit in my future overnight camps just around the Philippines since it can cook 1/2 to 1 cup of rice.. That is all i need for 1 meal...
Next time ill be using this to cook rice.. although simmering is quite a problem... comments are welcome.. :)

Electro Etch a 5160 Steel Knife (Failed)
I was experimenting of knife etching. I have seen some youtube videos on how to etch a knife. I tried one technique which is electro etching which involved in etching the metal with rust.
You should have the following:
Knife (of course)
12v AC Adapter (from toys, routers, etc)
Several q tips because it will get dirty later on.
Your design on a vinyl stencil
Salted water
Steps:
Place the stencil on the knife. make sure to tape it so it wont go somewhere.
Connect the - on the Q tip while the + of the wire on the metal part of the knife.
Mix a good amount of salt on the water.
Plug the 12v AC to the power outlet
Wet the part of the q-tip with the wire. (make sure that the wire will also get wet)
Start etching. You will know that it is etching because you will hear a sizzle.
Repeat until you are satisfied with the etch...
I have failed mine... I might do it again... :)
