This game has got me, after so many that haven't. Since the soundtrack was revealed through trailers and previews I have been determined to cover the music. With the piano prowess of David Russell and progressive groovy ideas I've worked on, I hope you enjoy... THE WILD EP.
In time for Dr. Strange, here's my metal take on Marvel's movies!

Despite growing up without Marvel comics, the M.C.U has let me get into exciting stories and surprisingly relatable situations. Though I started with Hulk and missed many, I got hooked fast on these and have been pretty hyped about each one (Guardians is my favorite)! While these movies at first appear to not have stellar soundtracks, I fell for these songs I picked and I think there's something unique in each! I worked super hard on the mix and video this time and tided my massive hype for Dr. Strange with it, so I really hope you guys enjoy it, share it, and maybe check out Marvel comics and movies if you haven't!
Also massive thanks to ShakeElite for providing extra vocals, and DSC and Nstens for leading the way with equally awesome Marvel covers!

Using Soundrop we're going to legally license and sell video game covers and remixes the same way I do for my music!
?SOUNDROP: http://www.soundrop.com/
As I reiterate, I am not sponsored by Soundrop or anyone or paid to make this. Since I was a smaller Youtuber, being able to legally distribute my covers for people to enjoy has been a huge goal of mine (2nd to having anyone enjoy them). Using the website Soundrop, a bit of licensing know-how, and just 10 minutes, we can sell any video game song, remix, or even original music using Soundrop (as long as the song has been released in the United States).
Video game covers, remixes, are a really complex and new area of media and copyright law. Using Soundrop, or other services that publish music, allows us to sell music AND the composers earn the money they're legally owed! This is largely why most of my music is going to Spotify and iTunes etc, as long as I can license it, and I don't use Bandcamp for anything I legally can't.
Massive thank you to SubversiveAsset (https://www.youtube.com/user/subversiveasset) and Sebastian Wolff from Materia Collective for the dozens of discussions and resources you have shared on this very topic, and thanks to Soundrop for releasing my silly game metal. I am still a novice in this world, but leave any questions about this stuff here or on Twitter so we can make great music the right way!

Sorry my camera angles were bad, I was rushing this one since it was so spur of the moment.
Have you ever noticed how well two songs fit together, either musically, thematically, or both? After pondering about making a standard "He's a Pirate" cover, I also replayed a little Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Then I realized that beautiful, mysterious song you hear at the beginning is so reminiscent of the former, and I had to try my hand at a mash-up. I realize I basically sandwiched them, but I hope that the quality of my songs are improving, exciting, and that you enjoy this little song. I really hope I make it to regionals! Also let me know if you'd like to see more mashups in the future.

Who likes Guitar Improvisation and songs made in a day?
I invited my bud Jack to jam out after finding out we're both musicians, and I wanted to get him into the fun recording world! He came up with a cool 4 chord progression, I stuck to very simple drum loops, and we just tried to get a 1-evening video out! I got to try out a lot of back-and-forth and comping, so I hope this turned out fun for you guys!
More metal and fun times are coming, just have to get this big Zelda Album finished in a week or so!

Here it is! After hours of recording my screen, plenty of tweaking and learning, and some requests from you amazing viewers, it's time I show everyone how I go about making tones. This is intended for the great VG Music community so I know you equally neato people watching this as passerby might be a little confused. This is EASILY not the best way, it is just simply the way I make tones. If you found anything confusing and you have questions/comments, please leave em and I'll check every single one. If you liked it and want more tutorials, TELL ME too. Sorry its 43 minutes long, but the Guitar Rig stuff is way faster to explain. Guide assumes you know the basics of getting the stuff to work too, so hopefully you can skim through what you need and I won't troubleshoot every little glitch.

I won't get too long here, but this is a 1-week cover believe it or not! This summer as many of you know, I directed and co-produced Multiplayer III, our third installment of video-game-music charity albums! The theme was water levels/songs, in honor of Water Org, the charity we chose to support this year, so I set to work immediately... except there were around 3 albums I participated in over the summer. I chose this song (yes I know it's also Ecruteak, save your comments) since it was very relaxing but strong, and really had a lovable chorus. Since Cianwood City is an ocean-view island from my favorite Pokemon game, I had this sentimental value to it immediately. Believe it or not, this is also the only song I have recorded all my electric guitars on (350M not on video for background stuff), and despite me not being ultra proud of it technically, having all these friends sing with me makes it feel very special!
Thanks to TeraCMusic, Christian Richardson, Charles Ritz, (rest are audio) Darby Culpit, Bonnie Bogovich, TheCoolestNerdDude, and Insaneintherainmusic for singing along with me and joining our incredible project again!

Anime fans may know of the "Big 3" Anime that dominated during the mid 00s, including by favorite Naruto and of course Bleach! OP was huge when I lived in Japan, but its longevity really showed itself when I got to visit Japan more recently! Despite loving the external designs and fun, I only got to visit the world of One Piece in games like Jump Ultimate Stars and with a push from friends (and yes the Netflix LA series) I finally dove into the manga! I'm hardly in the 200s but I love the series, the fun, and especially how different it is from common pirate-themed works! The characters are wholesome, varied, and the found family aspect is fantastic.
I knew I wanted to try my hand at a musical take on One Piece and with a ton of new Unreal Engine and Blender lessons I've learned, I think I'm happier than ever with my CGI-heavy video approach! Having to figure out the arm-stretch was a pain, as was making floating ships, but I think what I got worked out! I wanted to also include a lot of extra folks for this track but we're lucky to have my friend Evan, of the killer math rock band Armature, aboard for live drums that absolutely take it to the next level in that J-Rock synthy style. While not a total shot-for-shot like my Evangelion video, there's a few nods to manga in general and sequences in the opening as well as a cameo from Garfy-Garfy Chopper!

This one goes out to my friend Nate, who also donated plenty to Multiplayer! This is also the last of covers from last year I did upon suggestion from my roommates! You might be thinking, gee Swiggles everyone does Mjolnir's Theme and you already did! When I was shown this song, however, I got a lot of ideas on how to treat the orchestral parts, the ostinatos, and just take it as the grand cinematic score it is. There's a lot of time-signature changes in the first half that made it tough to map out, but I think things worked out once I wrote out the MIDI and got something driven. Of course to extend, I added the main theme with a bit more polish than my old cover with Mklachu and Krissalad (did my other Halo cover with them 2 years ago!).
Oh, and NEW GUITAR! I recently picked up a new 7-String I had been saving for, an Ibanez RG7421 if you didn't see my review last week. I'm extremely grateful this song was in B for a while so I could utilize its low-end crunch and I plan to use this guitar for a ton. Hopefully the tonality comes through and you guys enjoy hearing something a bit different. Anyway, enjoy the first Halo cover in a long time, and stay tuned next week for a few interesting things, including a song from my upcoming album PK Rockin' and some surprise goodies!
