[2017] Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition | Part 4 - Manus: Pain in M'Anus!
Recorded on 5/5/2017. The hissing was from a line imbalance caused by having a condenser microphone plugged into an aux port, and my attempts to fix it with software weren't successful.
Originally uploaded on 1/12/2015. This wasn't one of my better audio edits, I more or less just layered PelleK's cover over the original and called it a day. As a fan of some pretty gnarly metal, the drum desync has some value, but overall the mixing just isn't all that good, and it kind of falls apart at the midpoint.
This was the "very rough first cut" as I put it of an AMV that I decided to do mostly as an exercise in tone and movement. This ended up being the only version, however.
I trimmed down the song myself, since I didn't exactly have a lot of footage to work with to fill out the whole thing. The game hadn't even come out in the west yet when I made this, but while I was looking into it after seeing the pre-order banner on GameStop's website and saw the gorgeous animation, I just knew I had to do this. And how fitting that my favorite JRPG of all time would also be the first game I made an AMV for, before I ever knew it would be my favorite.
This was actually my first time using raw Blu-ray rips for native 1080p quality, and I may have been too lazy (and short on hard drive space) to convert them from m2ts to mp4, so...Vegas wasn't exactly thrilled about it.
Primarily just an effects test to gauge interest in the idea, though it never really went any further. It could be a fun idea to revisit, though. I do have Blu-ray rips of this series now.
Recorded on 8/21/2017. The second and technically final of these experimental podcast-style videos. It was a bit ambitious to try when my channel was so unknown, so it kind of fizzled despite my hopes that simply doing them would draw interest and snowball from there.
