Review of Elisa Music Player for KDE Linux. Elisa has been developed by the KDE community and its been designed to integrate with the Plasma desktop and can be controlled by other KDE products like KDE Connect.
The initial focus has been on the offline music player, although online services maybe added in a future version.

A recent batch of phishing emails had the message “This email is free from viruses and malware because Avast Anti-virus protection is active.” As a result a higher number of users than normal clicked the embedded link.
In this video I discuss why saying something is safe does not necessarily mean it’s actually safe.

I discuss whether the Unity Shopping Lens that returns Amazon and 7 Digital shopping results is really Spyware or just an annoyance.
Richard Stallman has voiced his opinion about it and calls Ubuntu "Spyware"
In this Video I show what is actually going on by using Wireshark, although as the outbound searches are Encrypted I can't give you a conclusive answer. But interestingly the results back from Amazon are Unencrypted.
I don't believe Canonical collect sufficient information about a users personal details for the feature to be classed as Spyware.
However I do agree that it is an annoyance and could be better implemented.
As always its a personal choice whether you like the feature or not, but if you don't like it you can easily disable the online searches through Privacy Tool.

Ubuntu 13.04 is a vast improvement over its predecessor Ubuntu 12.10, the system is far more stable and runs a lot faster.
A lot of improvements were made to the underlying system to improve responsiveness, reduce memory usage, and improve full screen gaming framerates.
1:01 Unity Improvements
1:45 Mounting Android Phones
2:36 LibreOffice Global Menu & HUD
3:06 Downsides of Ubuntu 13.04
3:52 Pre-installed Applications
4:58 Conclusion
There is also a new touch interface for Tablets and Mobiles, I'm unable to try this feature out though.
Other improvements include: new glossy shutdown / logout menu, new application and window switchers added to Unity bar, LibreOffice menu now integrated into Global Menu and HUD, and ability to mount Android phones in Nautilus.
Support for interim Ubuntu releases is now reduced to 9 months
