A family vacation to Cancun, Mexico and its many beaches in December 2014, going to places like the Westin Lagunamar Resort, Tulum, Cozumel, and the Chichin Itza Mayan Ruins. I truly love Cancun, Mexico with all of my heart. This vacation was one of the most amazing vacations I have ever been on.
The Westin Lagunamar is the most beautiful resort and my favorite, featuring an oceanfront view and a relaxing beach, where the resort serves the best pina coladas I have ever had in my entire life. The resort features a very nice bar close to the beach, along with its own ruins, called the Scorpion Ruins. The resort features entertainment. activities, massage services, and other high quality benefits, along with its own snack bar and restaurant.
Chichen Itza is where the Mayan ruins are located. It was a large pre-Columbian city built by the Maya people of the Terminal Classic period. The archaeological site is located in the municipality of Tinum, in the Mexican state of Yucatán.
Tulum (Spanish pronunciation: [tu'lum], Yucatec: Tulu'um) is the site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city serving as a major port for Cobá.The ruins are situated on 12-meter (39 ft) tall cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. Tulum was one of the last cities inhabited and built by the Mayas; it was at its height between the 13th and 15th centuries and managed to survive about 70 years after the Spanish began occupying Mexico. Old World diseases brought by the Spanish settlers appear to have been the cause of its demise. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for tourists.
Cozumel, a mostly undeveloped Mexican island in the Caribbean Sea, is a popular cruise ship port of call famed for its scuba diving. At Arrecifes de Cozumel National Park, divers can explore a section of the Mesoamerican Reef and Museo Subacuático de Arte’s submerged sculptures. Chankanaab is an eco park surrounding a lagoon with underwater caverns, home to dolphins, manatees and sea turtles.
