*Corrected calculation*
Sun speed according to timeanddate.com on January 1, 2017 UTC 15:16 was 955.6 miles / hour.
Sun took 2 minutes 50 seconds to travel it's diameter
2 min 50 sec = 0.0472 hours x 955.6 miles/hour = 45.125 mile diameter. Sun was at 90/90 zenith which only happens 2 times a year at my location.

JPL HORIZONS ephemerides data animated on an azimuthal equidistant "flat earth" map.
New in v3.32
Added 92 brightest stars, with color in Kelvin and visual magnitude represented in diameter.
Flat Moon, Sun and Stars. Planets will be flattened in next version. Needed because the refraction in the atmosplane makes spherical objects look egg shaped. If they are flat, this doesn't happen because it's the vertical dimension that is most effected by refraction.
