A quick video that covers how I layout video games for our Gaming Bootcamp (http://www.sdgamingbootcamp.com/).
I cover how I first rough out the design, development the level, add scenery, place enemies, and add a background. This is all done in layers that will be exported for use in a gaming platform like Construct 2.

Using an ESP-8266 ESP-01 and two 8-bit shift registers, I built an IOT device that allows me to turn on/off a server over an MQTT message (phone app).

This project turned out great and will be super helpful for anyone who is mining cryptocurrency or manages "Windows" servers from a remote location.
This design does not monitor the computer itself, only power-cycles then using an optoisolator connected to the power switch plug on the motherboard. One addition would be to use an IO extender to read the power LED line, exact same principle.

[EDITORIAL NOTE] In the schematic, I said to tied "live" to the bulb and "neutral" through the relay, this should be switched around. "Neutral" should go to the light and the "live" should go through the relay for safety reasons.
In this project, I convert a standard bedside table lamp into a touch lamp! You might be surprised at how easy it was to convert.
