Advance Wars 2: BHR - Hard Mission 12: Reclamation
This isn't really that difficult of a map. The trick here is the laser, which makes it a little difficult to progress, but if you line things up, you can move normally. Once you get across the river, you can seize the base and everything is pretty much back to normal. You have the option to ignore the laser entirely afterward as it limits the moves she can make in the south. I opt to smash it and get a missile in place so I can nab the airport. With that, there is no coming back for her.
You also have the option of ignoring the airport and just smashing into her HQ and seizing it. The trick to this would be getting your super while saving money here and there, then cutting loose with a high damage Power of Money to obliterate her defenses. It might be a little funnier to do the latter, but I went with the safe strategy that should work almost every time. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4q8k0Km1L8
There was far more dialogue here than I remembered. Upon delivering the blue pills to Guenter for testing, old memories start to resurface from Tio. We start learning about the cult that had imprisoned her and are starting to realize that they may not have been wiped out despite the combined efforts of the police and bracers.

You'll hear me say it as we go, but the events in this game are pretty bad. It may actually be the worst string of events I've ever seen in a Monster Hunter game. They hold off on some cosmetic stuff to entice you to do them, and allegedly some of them have better chances of having uniquely sized monsters on them. It is never the hunted monster, but the other ones that appear that will have these variants.
If you're wondering about the previous games' events, they would offer weapons, armor, rare item drops, or crown size monsters. For some reason they decided to change things here and the game suffers for it.

You don't get to see what all Archangel is capable of here as there is no need to really move her. The enemy just has a lot of units without any special elites, and while they come at you from all sides, at this stage, you should be able to shred everything in your path. It won't be until the next two fights that we get to encounter the elites as we have our final throw downs of the game.

Last week I was doing New Nightmare, but this time we are going into the newest game before the next one is released. The objective here is going to be beating the game in less than 1 hour, and hopefully not getting brutally murdered in the process. I will sit in a chat room in the Outbreak discord, so people may pop in and out if they are bored or feel the need to contribute something.

When I mentioned last year that there were a lot of SRPGs on the horizon, this was the one I expected to arrive last. We have a demo available so you can see what to expect, and while there are still some missing features, it leaves a pretty good impression. It won't be until either another build comes out down the line or the game launches in full that we will see the number of classes up for grabs and just how much they let you customize the characters.
The premise here is that there is a succession crisis of sorts with a dying king that threatens to throw everything and everyone into a civil war. We have to fight the forces of the older sister throughout the game, but surely the dowager and younger sister will have forces of their own when the game launches in full. I don't know if you can ally with any of them or if there is a single route, so this is just one of the many details we will need to discover when the game launches.
I did play the first battle off camera, but as I mention here, my sidekick at the time would scream and grunt at the screen whenever it went black. While there were colorful characters fighting, everything was fine. You'll have to wait until something else later this week to get some commentary from the sidekick.
As for launch dates, like most Kickstarter games, I don't think we have anything, and usually you don't want to trust projections anyway. I will continue to receive updates, so if the devs are open about its progress, there won't be anything sprung last second on us.

With the band back together, we decide to visit a relative of Dooley's who is having what looks to be a normal day for me. A few familiar faces are to be found here, and we can see what the old folks get up to when we're not around to keep tabs on them. While this level is somewhat circular, I find it much more straightforward than the first one. Sadly, I didn't get to sit and play the entire thing without interruptions, but we can still get a coherent video when it is all said and done.

The time has come to close the case. We have the details, we just need to put them together and figure out how to expose something we can work with. Sadly, Daimon is going to reach his limit here, so we need to send him out with a bang.

This one is a bloodbath, so a word of warning for you. I throw strategy and caution to the wind and storm the castle leaving most of my teammates to fend off the "reinforcements" that arrive. I'm not sure if I'm over leveled or if I'm just that heroic, but we'll need to wait until later maps to find out for sure.
