Hey, hey, hey... I am Eden Koz, founder/consciousness coach of Just Be®, LLC out of Akron, OH. Oh gosh, here I share my video which was recorded for friends/family/Just Be community for Facebook in the summer of 2016 upon being diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.
This "cancer" turned out to be a rare, rare infectious disease called Nocardia beijingensis. The first case of Nocardia beijingensis in the US (as far as I know) was reported in 2014. This is potentially the first case again in the US where this infection has gone to the brain.
By the way, the biopsy of the mass in my lung which I speak of, didn't work... so surgery was the only option of which there were two brain surgeries, a near-death experience, two years of healing. I was already connected to God this just created more!!!
In this I share my outlook... which comes from my spiritual and grounding practice of meditation.
To give a bit more background, if you are interested, all of this happened in a week. Everything started with a headache that wouldn't go away on Monday which quickly translated into dizziness and then to not feeling good AT ALL. I went to doc in a box on Friday then to the emergency room on Sat morning where I was there rushed to a hospital. CAT scan showed single mass in my lung and three in my head.

We are doing this class pro-bono the week of Nov 12, 2018, and are going all over the city of Akron to all ages in classrooms, to Vets, to those who are experiencing addiction, etc. This video is for the second class for the staff of Miller South~School for the Visual and Performing Arts a school for 4th-8th grade. The goal of all of this class is to allow meditation and yoga to be accessible and tangible... regardless of age, faith, background.
More about the Yoga Summit of Ohio ~ It was established in 2015 in Akron and has held dynamic programs all over the city of differing sizes and scale ever year. Bigger picture, it brings collaboration, healing and resiliency to ourselves as well as the community at large. It works to unify the yoga/meditation community as well as create and promote all types of sessions that make these practices accessible to those of all ages, abilities, faiths, socioeconomic status, ways of being, experiences and expressions of self. Finally, its goal is to also nourish and bring equity to all yoga classrooms, practices, retreats and trainings.

This is a testimonial for my work, yet it doesn't matter. This video shows that even though western medicine may give you a diagnosis for biopolarism, addiction or an eating disorder, it isn't a life sentence or something that cannot be cured. I have worked with others also for addiction and eating disorders where they have also moved past their issue and now it is a part of their history. Amazing what your body and mind can do. YET you must be open and willing to understand why this has happened to you and take ownership of it... not be a victim. That is key!

Ep58. Out of PA, this awake woman has been doing a spiritual podcast for eight years (!), has had many amazing people on her show and SHE is soooo interesting. Here she tells her story about her son Kyle and his passing which is incredible, hard, wonderful, mind-blowing. A little hint... imagine him on life support while she simultaneously lies in a hospital bed "on watch" in the corresponding ICU.
As a person who understands spirit and has faith, she openly discusses her struggles and how she came out on the other side. As a parent, she has truly let him go which, in the end, only brings both souls closer together. She also talks about another parent group that does not focus on "grief." Beyond that, we get into Black Lives Matter, diversity, Oneness and, of course, the Great Awakening.
