Keywords: Popularity, mass-adoption, challenges. Making it easier to use & secure. The engineering challenge is an opportunity. Bitcoin will be accepted broadly when you can use it without knowing how it works. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0wAh6_HEbo
How do bitcoin ATMs work? How easy is it to spend bitcoin? Some will allow you to transfer both ones, but ATMs in most countries are often one-way "vending machines." Circulating bitcoin helps grow the economy. I get paid in bitcoin and I pay others in bitcoin. There are many things you can buy with bitcoin, including flights, hotels, and products on Amazon. Bitcoin is first and foremost the currency of the internet.

00:00 Does crypto ecommerce put my keys at risk?
00:35 Asymmetric cryptography - public & private key pairs
01:33 Asymmetric cryptography in ecommerce
02:46 Extended public keys or XPUB
In this segment of Down the Rabbit Hole, Andreas dives into a question that has been on his mind. Andreas explores the concern that using crypto for e-commerce could be insecure because your keys would need to be held on a server. Andreas walks through how asymmetric cryptography and a very cool crypto feature, called an xpub key, can alleviate these concerns.

Keywords/phrases: Alternative consensus mechanisms/ algorithms are a new science, started in January 2009. The number of academic papers and PhD dissertations focused on consensus algorithms is increasing. This is not a theoretical science, this is an experimental science which can be run on a global scale. We need to see large-scale deployments of practical use, with real actors and real money at stake. Different consensus algorithms produce different characteristics and features. Proof-of-work produces thermodynamically guaranteed immutability. This is not a zero-sum game, there is plenty of room for competition and niche applications.

When crypto prices go down, often we're left with "dust" or values that are so small we cannot move them to new wallets or it's just not worth our time to do so. When the prices of crypto skyrocket, those bits of dust can end up being pretty valuable. What will you find in your crypto couch cushions? Watch for ideas on where to look.
0:00 Down the Rabbit Hole Introduction

2:31 Go look for the crypto you forgot about
3:10 Hidden Goal
4:00 Don't import your cold storage into a hot wallet just to see if there's loose change
Gifting crypto is great but what if you could gift YOURSELF crypto?!?! If you've been into crypto for awhile, chances are you've got some loose sats or wei floating around. Given the recent price increases, now is a great time to go searching for it. Have you recently found some crypto? Let us know in the comments.

In this talk, Andreas questions whether our ways of measuring success in Bitcoin and open blockchains (such as price, market capitalisation, or being able to buy coffee at Starbucks) make sense, what these metrics reveal about our individual goals, and why we should instead focus on fostering communities founded on principles we want to see flourish in the world.

On the benefits and challenges with upcoming privacy improvements to Bitcoin. What do you think about Snowden's comments on privacy in Bitcoin and open public blockchains? What are unspent transaction outputs (UTXOs)? Can you re-anonymise UTXOs from KYC exchanges like Coinbase, by participating in a CoinJoin through wallets such as Wasabi or services such as JoinMarket? Can you use Schnorr signatures do UTXO consolidation? Will governments continue to let privacy coins exist? Will confidential transactions be censored? What will kickstart the evolution towards more privacy and anonymity? Could private transactions be indistinguishable from "normal" transactions? What is the launch schedule for privacy improvements (Schnorr signatures, Taproot, Graftroot)?
CORRECTION: At 6:50, I say that Gregory Maxwell invented CoinJoin. While Maxwell did 'coin' the term, the mechanism of CoinJoin was discussed early on by others: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=12751.msg315793#msg315793
