Since the Great Red Dragon, I've wanted to try this one-shot theme again. I've tried it here and there, such as with the Reanimated Mannoroth video, but nothing quite as crazy. Well, I figured for today's video, it'd be fun to try another made-up over-detailed Dragon!
This was originally going to be called a Mountain Drake, but as I was finishing off I noticed it looked a lot like Doomsday from the DC Comics. It felt far more fitting than Mountain Drake.

It's been quite some time since my last time in Sculptris, I haven't had enough free time to give any modelling a go. I figured I'd just jump in and get something going, warm up those drawing muscles and just remind myself techniques before I forget.
And what better way that to warm up, than to make my mascot. The Sculptris variant is a little bit... deformed, but I plan on going back and trying again when I am more experienced :)

This was a wonderful creature to work with! I particularly enjoyed shaping out the crest on the head, however I think I spent the majority of this working on the colour scheme, trying out all sorts of different combinations, and even manually shaping the head red with the colourful knurldowns, but in the end it felt like this pattern here was the best at reflecting the Jurassic World hybrid. Still though, a fun one to make.
