Mama-Tress the Plushie Golem and her daughter Pillow-Lah prepare to call it a night and go to sleep. As usual for their kind, the mother's let their children sleep in their belly like a sleeping bag. Pillow-Lah slips into her mother's mouth and down to her plush lined belly and eases into a comfortable sleep as her mother drifts to sleep with her daughter safely tucked away inside her again.

Third time's a charm, or is it? Seems Dr. Cortex's crew can't seem to learn from their failure. Dr. N.Gin now has taken it upon himself to once again upgrade the bionic giant toad N.Gest with a flamethrower and direct mental control link. This time they decide to take on the defector Crunch Bandicoot for the ultimate test. Believing if Crunch can be take down by N.Gest the others won't stand a chance. Locating Crunch during his work out. N.Gin and N.Gest challenge the bionic bandicoot to a battle, which doesn't seem to go well for the demented assistant. Plus N.Gest's flamethrower pilot light isn't working which leaves him at the mercy of Crunch who seems to win brawn over brains this time and sends N.Gin back to Cortex, stuffed down N.Gest's throat.
