Ben Burgis welcomes David Griscom of Left Reckoning onto the show and decides to torture him by forcing him to watch PragerU videos. The subject of today’s video: Karl Marx. PragerU cannot stress this enough: Karl Marx’s ideas have been catastrophic. Ben and David go through the examples that the speaker in the video has given: China, the Soviet Union, Cuba, and so on, and add some temporal context regarding how the rest of the world was operating at the time that is being spoken about.

Ben Burgis, Rob Larson, and Matthew Vernon Whalan watch a clip of Norm Finkelstein and Eli Lake arguing about Hamas. Ben explains why he disagrees with one important part of his friend Norm's position, Matthew pushes back, and Rob splits the difference. They go on to talk about Eli Lake's horrifying denialism and Israel's ethnic cleansing.

Ben Burgis and crew watch a portion of a clip from PragerU. The topic is healthcare, and they've managed to retain the services of the chief of transplant surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital to tell viewers that they actually do not deserve healthcare. To be fair, he also says that doctors are horrible, but whether or not doctors are overprescribing medications is really a question for people who can see a doctor in the first place, so he kind of skipped ahead in the "reasoning" section of the argument thing. Dennis Prager does not seem to be a Medicare for All guy.

Krystal Ball joins Ben Burgis to discuss her take on the actions Joe Biden has taken thus far as president. What do his executive actions REALLY add up to? Well, they’re serious issues that affect people in a dire manner, but they aren’t measures that add up to the type of relief that the majority of the country needs right now.
Medicare for All, Covid 19 relief, cancelling student debt, beginning to address racial inequity immediately — these are issues that would materially affect a majority of people in this country in a very real, day-to-day, quality-of-life way.
Ultimately, Ben and Krystal aren’t totally mad, guys, they’re just REALLY DISAPPOINTED. Just kidding, they’re mad.

Left Reckoning's David Griscom talks about Jean-Paul Sartre. Ben, Producer Forrest, and GTAA YouTube Manager Kelly Carey debunk a video made by a YouTube tax-shelter guru who seems very upset about Ben's "Abolish Inherited Wealth" article. Joe Biden is up to various shenanigans (although we might not get to those until the postgame). Nando Vila plugs Ben's new book.
Matt McManus and Russell Sbriglia join Ben to continue the regular Sunday Night Debate Breakdown series by watching and commenting on the first half of Slavoj Zizek's 2019 debate with Jordan Peterson. (The second half will be next Sunday.) At the beginning of the stream they'll play the interview they did with Žižek this afternoon--that part had to be prerecorded since Slovenia is 6 hours ahead of EST.
