He also adds Vulpix, Shellder, or Magnemite to his team. After the battle, your rival will hint about a Pokémon named Cubone. He notices that there aren’t any Marowak left, which gives a hint when you go higher into the tower. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vnwy0_OZVo

After you have all 16 badges, you have access to go to Mt. Silver. Enter the Silver Cave and explore the area until you reach the deepest part of the cave. In the deepest part of the cave, you’ll meet the toughest trainer in the game, Red. Pikachu will use Charm to lower Attack power then use Thunder to paralyze targets as well as finish them off with Quick Attack. Espeon will use Reflect to weaken physical attack damage for 5 turns and use Mud-Slap to lower the target’s Accuracy. Snorlax will use Body Slam to paralyze targets and even use Snore after using Rest. Venusaur will combo by using Sunny Day and SolarBeam. When its HP runs low, it will use Synthesis to recover. Blastoise will combo by using Rain Dance and Surf. Its Blizzard can freeze opponents sometimes even while you’re battling with Grass types. When Charizard uses Fire Spin or when Blastoise uses Whirlpool, there’s no escape for 2-5 turns. The levels in this battle are very high so Mt. Silver is the key place to train before this battle.

On any day between 12:00 noon and 3:00 P.M., Brock will be inside Diglett’s Cave behind the entrance on Route 2. Talk to him and he will give you his phone number on the PokéGear. Call him on a Saturday night and he will be at the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City. Golem and Onix will use Rock Polish to sharply boost the Speed stat and Rock Slide for a 30% chance of making the target flinch. Relicanth with the Rock Head ability will use Head Smash to deal massive damage and Rest to fully recover with a Lum Berry taking effect for once. Omastar will use Ancientpower for a 10% chance of raising all of its stats and Brine to deal double damage if the target has less than half its HP left. Kabutops will use Aqua Jet to strike first and Giga Drain to restore its HP by half the damage the target took. Rampardos will use Stone Edge to more easily land a critical hit and Avalanche to deal double damage if it took damage the same turn. A move like Giga Drain works best for this battle.
