This situation reinforces my apprehension regarding the possibility of a global recession, a concern that I have expressed previously. While inflation remains a significant issue, the underperformance of our top performers raises questions about the capabilities of other entities to deliver satisfactory results. In other news, Meta's Threads has achieved a significant milestone with 100 million sign-ups, and market speculations indicate that this number may reach 200 million by the end of this month. Such growth puts considerable pressure on Twitter, but one could argue that this competition may ultimately prove beneficial for us. There is a lack of consensus among 15 strategists regarding their year-end forecast for the S&P Index. Surprisingly, 11 of them anticipate a decline from the current price, while 4 maintain a bullish outlook. In fact, some are even projecting a range as low as 4800. Interestingly, a report indicates that bearish investors are swiftly reducing their equity bets at the fastest rate in three years. Curiously, a similar phenomenon occurred in June 2020 when the S&P Index actually experienced an upward trend.
