On many fords after a crash you get " hard codes" stored in the control module. Even after you replace all damaged items and use a scan tool to clear DTC's you will be left with an illuminated airbag light. These codes must be found and cleared manually inside the memory. So, if your having trouble with your airbag light not turning off but have no codes or crash codes stored, don't worry there is a more affordable option then replacing it with a new unit!
