This footage shows the aftermath of a crash that occurred around 1:35 a.m. in Ward Circle near American University. When asked about what happened, the Park Police told News2share, "let's just say, don't drink and drive." The university newspaper, the Eagle, is reporting that "A 22-year-old female was taken away in an ambulance. She is “awake and alert” as of 2:30 a.m., according to a emergency medical technician report from a police scanner."

Submitted by Gabrielle Lamport, this footage shows a gas station in Ashdod, Israel which had just been struck by a Gazan missile.
Lamport told me: "I would say that this is definitely not the vacation I was anticipating. Everyone in Israel, especially in the south, is basically confined to their homes lately because there have been thousands of rockets falling as well as terrorists coming in through underground tunnels. Business has definitely gone down for most places that don't offer necessary services here because people try to stay near bomb shelters as often as possible. At first I was okay but after the failed ceasefires it's gotten more scary, like the other day I had to stop on the side the road and huddle next to my car and watch the rockets hit nearby. Despite all this I have to say I know I'm very lucky because Israel has made it the law that every building must have a bomb shelter and we also have the Iron Dome to protect us. The innocent people of Gaza aren't as lucky however, I try to remind myself every time I run to a bomb shelter that at least my government is working to protect me and not putting me in the line of fire like Hamas does to Palestinians. I know some people might not think it's true but most Israelis I speak to feel essentially the same way, we realize how lucky we are to be so protected and we worry about what is happening to the innocent people who are stuck living under Hamas. As you know we just initiated our ground operation tonight, the purpose of it is to eliminate the terror tunnels which we can't do from the air. The ground operation has worsened the morale here as everyone has at least a relative or friend or two who now has to go into Gaza, so the whole country is basically biting their nails and hoping it's all over quickly!"

Milo Yiannopoulos, a controversial conservative speaker and technology editor at Breitbart, spoke Thursday to students at American University. Protesters assembled outside and claimed that Yiannopoulos represents hate speech against minority groups, particularly transgender people.
As Yiannopoulos began speaking, he explained that he would donate $20 to Donald J. Trump every time he's interrupted. Within the first minute, a protester with a sign stood up and was promptly removed by campus police. The sign read "Roses are red, violets are blue, Milo we're too woke [sic] to tolerate you."
As she was removed, another stood up at her seat with a sign that read "Hate Speech ≠ Free Speech." She remained in place in silent protest for the entire event.
As the Q&A came to a close, one man went to the microphone and asked, "How do you equate the Black Lives Matter movement with black supremacy?" Yiannopoulos supporters began yelling "Trump!" and "Black privilege!" as a shouting match ensued among various wings of the audience.
Yiannopoulos refused to answer. "You're standing up and expecting special treatment now sir. Questions are over. You're demanding to be heard on the basis that if I don't answer you're question, I'm racist. Sit down."

New footage received from Ramallah, Palestinian protesters burned portraits of President Joe Biden, rejecting his presidential visit to Israel.
"Your strategic allies, Biden, are the ones who killed Shireen," one sign says, referring to Shireen Abu Akleh, a Palestinian journalist who the international community agrees was shot dead by Israeli forces.
"Biden is not welcomed in Palestine!" another sign says.

"There is only one solution! Intifada revolution!" Palestinian Youth Movement activists and presidential candidate Cornel West marched on Saturday in Los Angeles. "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!"
"All our children, sons and daughters, we will honor all our martyrs!" chanted the marchers. "Long live the intifada!"
Protesters led by the Palestinian Youth Movement waved flags and carried a bloody effigy of President Joe Biden outside a police department building in Los Angeles.
"Long live the Intifada!" they chanted. "Israel, Israel, what do you say? How many kids have you killed today?"
"We stand with our brothers and sisters and siblings dealing with unbelievable assault and attack, genocide on the one hand, but 75 years of it, and we still stand tall!" said Cornel West to the PYM from the stage.
"We are here to be courageous, to lift our voices!"
A speaker was described as in a shared "global struggle" against settler colonialism as a member of the American Indian Movement.
"This is our land, but we don't believe that we own the land," she said. "We believe that we're part of the land."

Hundreds of activists marched Saturday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky to renew their demand that the officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor one year ago be charged with murder.
Despite angry confrontations with the police, the protest remained peaceful. Armed activists including "Boogaloo Boys" and the local "United Pharaoh's Guard" (UPG) militia provided security for the event.

"Citizenship for who? Citizenship for all!" Hundreds of DACA recipients and their supporters marched to the Supreme Court and rallied in defense of the deferred action program Tuesday morning.
"Dreamers" traveled from across the country to attend, some even marching from New York City to Washington DC.
Activists told stories of how they grew up undocumented in America, only protected by DACA.
"Every dreamer here has done the impossible," said one speaker.
"We will not be free until all of us are free," added another, who explained that #DACA would't be the end of their activism, whether they win or not.
Actor Bambadjan Bamba (Black Panther, Suicide Squad, Good Place) spoke out, telling the story of how he's succeeded since being an undocumented childhood arrival since age 10, protected by DACA.

George Curbelo, Commanding officer of the New York Light Foot Militia, speaks out to the Charlottesville community during a meeting in the local library. Curbelo, along with several others, is being sued by the Charlottesville government for his participation in an armed group which described itself as a neutral, constitutional peacekeeping force. Curbelo clarified that his group's role was to prevent either side from hurting eachother, and he says he'd just as quickly protect a Black Lives Matter or Antifa event as he'd stand guard at a an event like "Unite the Right."
