Anthem - RANGER PLAYS - GM2 Ranger BUILD GUIDE
A quick look at my Ranger build. I discuss the logic behind each decision I made selecting gear, and share a few ideas for further optimization. (screenshot of build below) UPDATE: I have posted an updated video guide that includes 4 minutes of GM2 gameplay: https://youtu.be/MTnit_Z5Zr4
UPDATE1: I will need to run a few more tests on the "support" slot, mainly testing Q: %dmg increase compared with %combo damage increase. There may have been a few extra elements skewing the results when I was testing the damage numbers. Originally it appeared that Q: %dmg was yielding much smaller numbers than it should be. UPDATE2: With the upcoming changes for the 3/12 patch, this build will be able to push into GM3 with minimal gear upgrades.
This build can handle up to GM2 currently, and I plan to continue pushing it into GM3. The gear will need further stat optimization to achieve this.

venom darts, sticky grenade, siege breaker (offhand sniper), tip of the spear, cooldown reduction
-quick overview-
most of the damage comes from combo + blast increase (nade), and cooldown reduction. the constant venom darts will ensure that you take the combo on detonation. you can usually fire one right before the grenade detonates. acid debuff also provides a group damage increase on the targets.
spam nades and darts, pretty simple! use your gun to help with shielded enemies. successful combo heals you for 40% hp (unlimited range) and will heal/rez the group members AOE around your javelin (tip of the spear MW mod). use siege breaker to freeze big elites, save ammo for only 3 shot freezes. main gun can by anything (flex spot). i chose thunderbolt of yvenia for the extra damage to shields (lightning proc).

Total boss kill time: 2 minutes 50 seconds (MELEE only on boss).
Shroud is not really the best test to see the full potential of the current melee set up, however, since it is a difficult fight for melee, the total kill time is important to monitor on Nightmare +20. The total kill time was under 3 minutes, and that was with a few unlucky non-crit hits, and the buff wearing off. As a result, it appears the build is still viable.
The strategy changes slightly - the big melee becomes situational, and you can run in and melee without the buff now. You will need to instigate the buff when you can. The melee still outputs enough damage to kill bosses on NIGHTMARE, with/without the Akari buff up.
I will continue through Nightmare and see how the bosses go.
Trait requirement - 80 (kingslayer, catalyst, warrior, executioner)
Gear overview (text):
Primary weapon: Repeater pistol +20, slotted Hunter's Mark MOD, for 15% crit chance
Secondary weapon: Beam rifle +20, slotted Hot Shot/Song of Swords MOD, for boss burn
Melee weapon: World Breaker +10, high dmg and AoE knockback
Armor: Akari set x3 (from the 3 rods event in act 2)
Amulet: Pocket watch (more rolling, optional)
Ring 1: Razor Stone (mandatory, bleed dmg)
Ring 2: Devouring Loop (mandatory, big proc)
Key traits to focus on: Executioner (crit chance), Catalyst (makes the ring proc go up), Kingslayer (crit dmg), and Warrior (melee dmg bonus).
The game is a lot of fun. I will be posting more gameplay, and build guides.

ENDGAME BUILD: This is a melee frost, condition overload build. In this video I am testing the differences between corrosive and viral damage on a melee weapon in the Simulacrum, after the big revised update 27.2.0, on level 135 corrupted heavy gunners. I also discuss my build. 01:19 warframe screen, 01:22 melee weapon mods, 02:14 enemy settings, 02:27 corrosive / cold test, 03:02 melee weapon mod swap, 03:39 viral / rad test, 04:36 corrosive / cold test (AI on), 06:03 viral / rad test (AI on), 10:02 corrosive / cold final test (AI on), 11:11 max status effect showcase for condition overload, 11:58 build overview discussion, 19:30 weird bug (might not be bug), 19:53 gun damage test, 22:27 launching enemies into another dimension, 25:06 closing remarks.
Conclusion: I will still run corrosive / cold and corrosive projection after testing. I think that viral is more of a contender now, and I can see situations where it might be better than corrosive. However, because I can double slot attack speed with corr/cold setup, melee feels much better running it. If I could achieve viral / heat while still maintaining the attack speed buffs it might be ideal (potentially from a new kuva lich weapon where the base element is different).
Changes to Arcanes: The recent patch prevents slotting 2 of the same arcanes (I originally had 2 magus elevates equipped on my operator, for the warframe heal). In the video I have both the elevates equipped still (bug). After unslotting one, I couldn't put it back on. I decided to switch the slot over to another arcane for testing, and it had GREAT results. I slotted in Magus Lockdown. This will be equipped on my operator in future videos.

7 minute clip from the live stream encounter with Lady Butterfly. Great fight! Utilizing the snap seeds I acquired earlier, I was able to clear the room on phase 2. I ended up defeating her on my second attempt.
An aggressive play style seems to work well against her.

Short clip. Hitting level 18 in the video, I started the Synapse Task Force (Hero side) at level 15, and had been progressing through it with a full group. INSANE FUN. SS/Inv Brute. (update: web archive for OLD build guides listed below)
Luckily I was able to participate in such a mind blowing event, literally, I had NO IDEA this game would ever emerge again.
