They called this The Great Awakening, where more and more people awaken to the Truth of who they really are and the Divine within. Being awake is also used to describe those of us who are following the rabbit holes and discovering how interconnected everything is, including that which we consider extremely dark and manipulative. But guess what, most of us are at varying degrees of wakefulness, and the trauma of knowing the full truth of how things really are in our non-ideal realities will likely affect both the sleepy and the partially awake.
