The Waterfall On Dishpan Trail - The Easy Line
Taking the easy line on "The Waterfall" on the Dishpan Trail between Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear.
One of the toughest parts about filming episodes of In4LO is getting The Notarubicon out of the way so we can concentrate on filming the cast - so we usually will go up the fastest easiest line. This is some video of The NotARubicon taking the easy line up the waterfall - also known as "the tree line" because you have to squeeze past the tree on the left. It's a little more dug-out than the last time we did Dishpan and it took a few tries to get through. Even though it's not on the video, I did make it over.

cleghorn!-it's-not-just-a-fire-road
A few clips from a few of our trips up to Cleghorn to show you that anyone that tells you "Cleghorn is just a fire road" is lying to you. Much of the trail is so narrow and steep it's very difficult to exit the Jeep to get video so very little of the trail is actually shown in this video.
To be fair, Cleghorn (2N47) is actually a fire-road. It's the offshoots and back-sections that are difficult. If you stay on the main road, you can make it through in a Prius.

I go over the menu system for the Baofeng UV-5R, show you how how to use the menu system, and I explain what each menu option is and what it does. The menus and options on the Baofeng UV5R are similar to other radios such as BTech, Retevis, Radioddity, and Wouxun - Both ham radios and GMRS radios. Once you know how to use the menus on a Baofeng, you should be able to pick up most other radio and use it's menu system.
CORRECTION! When discussing Menu Option #23, "BCL" - I mis-spoke when I said I like to keep BCL set to "on" - I meant to say that I like to keep it set to OFF. My deepest apologies for letting you down, but after all, I am only human.
