Time to test out the Craftsman C3 battery charger test adapter I made. The adapter is constructed of the power connector and top of a battery pack with a connector to attach instrumentation.
Found out a couple of interesting facts. First, the charger does not output any power until it detects a battery is connected. Second, the side posts on the battery post apparently need to be connected somehow for the charger to recognize the battery.
At least the charger recognizes that a battery is connected and sends power out to the battery, as indicated by the Watt Meter powering up.
The next step will be to try adding a resistor between the two side terminals approximating the resistance I measured off a battery pack. I am assuming these terminals are temperature related, as the PCB is marked with "T1" and "T2", but who knows what that may indicate.
Stay tuned to the channel for updates as this project progresses.
As always, thanks for watching!
