He has earned a total of 68 Job Points as Red Mage. In this video, he will do some more Job Point grinding as Red Mage in Escha - Ru'Aun. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He picks up a couple Merit Point upgrades and a Job Point upgrade. He has now spent 68 Job Points in total. He has 0 Job Points left over. In his delivery box, he receives gil for two Riftborn Boulders and two Plutons that sold at auction. Then, he heads out to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:37): Heorot teleports to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 2:01): Heorot arrives at Home Point #1 at G-5. Up the hill, he examines the Undulating Confluence at G-5 to enter Escha - Ru'Aun. Escha - Ru'Aun (time 2:37): Heorot arrives at H-11. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone. Heorot accrues 1 Job Point for an overall total of 69 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 1 Job Point. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 1:06:29): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 1:07:02): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage. Then, he teleports to Bastok Markets. Bastok Markets (time 1:08:48): Heorot trades his Copper A.M.A.N. Voucher to Isakoth at E-11. In Mjoll's Goods, he sells his loot to Olwyn at E-11. Then, he teleports to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:10:17): At the auction house, Heorot puts an Earth Cluster, two Plutons, and a Riftborn Boulder up for sale. This is video #050 in my gameplay series of The Outer Worlds for the Sony PlayStation 4. This is video 10 covering "Peril on Gorgon". The Outer Worlds is rated M for blood and gore, intense violence, and strong language. Previously, for the main quest "We, in Spacer's Choice's Employ...", the party explored the horrors of Human Inquiry & Auditing. They also found a phonograph for the side quest "The Electric Fling". Eventually, they reached Dr. Marion Blakeslee's terminal and issued HIA's part of the override on the Synthesis & Manufactory Center's lockdown. Then, they made their way to the CHEM Lab Upper Exterior entrance in the west of Gorgon. Now, the party will explore the CHEM Lab for the main quest "Experiment Perilous" and lift the other part of the override on SMC. They will also wrap up "The Electric Fling". Gorgon Canyon: The party resumes just outside the CHEM Lab Upper Exterior entrance. They examine the Aural Scanner next to the door and play Dr. Low's audio recording. Then, they enter the Compound Harvesting, Enrichment, & Molecularization Lab. Compound Harvesting, Enrichment, & Molecularization Lab (time 2:26): Entering the lab concludes the objective to access the CHEM Lab for "Experiment Perilous". The next objective is to send the Override Authorization at the terminal in Dr. Jasper Low's office. There is also an optional objective to unlock Security Office Hall. The party starts in the lobby on floor 4/4. There are dead Marauders and destroyed automechanicals here. The party uses the terminal and views some messages. As the party starts down the hallway to the east, the Mysterious Figure addresses them again. Oh, they're siccing mechanicals on us? Excuse me while I equip a weapon that deals shock damage. The hallway leads to the Subterranean Cavern. The party can take the southern lift to the floor of the cavern itself, or they can take the eastern ramp down to the catwalks on floor 3/4. They take the catwalk for now. There are Mechanical Sentries patrolling the cavern floor, and a Scrap Mechanical is patrolling the circular area in the middle of the catwalk. Best to fight them one at a time, if possible. The party first heads west to the main lab, accessible from the western part of the catwalk. A couple of mechanicals are within. One terminal is in the southwestern cubicle, but it only has a couple of messages on it. Another terminal is in the western cubicle. In the storage room just west of the main lab, there is a storage bin that requires Lockpicking 150. The party also finds the phonograph "To Roscoe". Now, he will begin training in the Western Altepa Desert, a vastly different environment. Heorot resumes in his Mog House in Bastok. He gets some good money in his delivery box for Ice and Light Clusters. Thank you to the purchasers! Heorot heads out to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 1:10): Heorot heads to the auction house to list more Ice Clusters and relist the Light Cluster that did not sell. Then, he teleports to Windurst Waters. Windurst Waters (time 3:31): In the southern part of Windurst Waters, Heorot visits the Federal Magic Reserve at G-8. From Hilkomu-Makimu, he picks up a Scroll of Blizzard II. He uses it to learn the Black Magic spell Blizzard II. No doubt this chilling spell will help cool off the parched monsters in the desert. Too bad Heorot cannot afford Dispel. Heorot teleports back to Bastok Mines. Bastok Mines (time 5:51): Heorot heads back to the Residential Area. Mog House (time 6:41): Heorot does a little inventory management. Bastok Mines (time 7:11): Near the gate, Heorot talks to Crying Wind, I.M., at I-10 to refresh his Signet status. He also gets his Chariot Band recharged. Then, he uses the Survival Guide at I-9 to teleport to the Western Altepa Desert in the Kuzotz region. Western Altepa Desert (time 8:59): Heorot arrives at the Survival Guide at K-7. At L-5 near the entrance to Rabao, he finds the Field Manual. He accepts the Page 4 individual training to clear out 2 members of the Goblin family and 8 Tulwar Scorpions per training regime. The Tulwar Scorpions are not especially difficult to locate. Heorot starts finding them in the open area around Revelation Rock in the northwest of the desert. There are also Antica, insect-like beastmen, patrolling the area. (Ant-ica ... get it?) The Antican Retiarii and Antican Lanistae are mages, so be sure to silence them if possible. Page 5 individual training concerns Antican Secutors and Antican Lanistae. During his training, Heorot reaches Level 56 as Red Mage. When his sword skill reaches 175, Heorot learns the weapon skill Spirits Within. Goblins are a little more difficult to find. They tend to appear around the Oasis of Hubol around E-9 in the southwest section of the desert, the Scorchvale. Tulwar Scorpions also spawn in the Scorchvale, so it is a decent area for Page 4 individual training. Plenty of undead roam the land at night, so take care. Along the way, they had to fight Ultros, Typhon, and the Imperial Air Force. When they reached the Floating Continent, Shadow, whom the Empire had betrayed, joined the party. They explored the Floating Continent and defeated Ultima Weapon. They also got the area's bestiary entries. Now, the party will approach the Floating Continent's summit and confront Gestahl and Kefka. To start off with, I show the state of the bestiary available before going to the Floating Continent's summit. Most of the Act 1 monsters will become unavailable during Act 2, unless you have encountered them already. Afterwards, I load the game. Floating Continent (time 0:41): The party resumes at the save point in the east of the continent. They take the teleporter up to the surface. Then, they go north and take the teleporter west to the sixth area, where they fought Ultima Weapon. The party continues north up the ladder past Ultima Weapon's location. This triggers an epic scene with Gestahl, Kefka, and the Warring Triad. Celes appears if she was not included in the party. Though it is hard to feel any sympathy for Gestahl, Kefka truly is reprehensible. Fortunately, an ally helps the party escape. After the scene, the party gains control in the seventh area of the continent east of the summit (time 11:15). They have six minutes to escape the area. Celes has been added to the lineup. She equips an Icebrand, a Golden Shield, a Mystery Veil, Golden Armor, a Peace Ring, and a White Cape. The party continues on. In this area, the only enemy type they will encounter is Naude. Naudes are weak to fire, lightning, and holy. They will also die if they run out of MP. As the party proceeds, parts of the path will fall away behind them. To the northeast, after they go down a ladder, there will be a blue orb up a ladder to the east. Do not go directly east to it, or it will fall away. The party goes around to the south, east, and north. Then, they go up the ladder and open the blue orb for an Elixir. Now, they have opened all four "treasure chests" in the zone. To the east, the party finds the sparkly spot that flew out of Kefka. Before they examine it, Terra equips an Icebrand. The party examines the sparkly spot for a boss fight against Nelapa. Nelapa starts out by casting Doom on the entire party. Nelapa has Reflect on, so the party should not cast spells on this fiend. However, normal physical attacks will take it out quickly, especially with ice-elemental weapons. Past Nelapa, the party approaches the eastern promontory for an event. The airship appears below. However, the party chooses to wait. They step away and approach the promontory again. They choose to wait for Shadow. If you do not wait for Shadow, he will not be available in Act 2! All party members except Celes unequip themselves. Celes equips Zona Seeker. The party waits for the clock to go down. When the clock reaches five seconds, a cutscene sequence takes place (time 20:22). The party and Shadow reach the airship, but the Warring Triad cause a lot of bad things to happen. Even the airship is not immune. Kefka has really done it this time. World of Ruin - Solitary Island (time 22:33): Welcome to the World of Ruin. After the apocalypse, we approach Solitary Island for the initial scenes of Act 2. In a lone cabin, there is dialogue between Celes and Cid. When it is all said and done, the player gains control of Celes in the cabin on Solitary Island (time 26:37). Her initial objective is to catch fish and feed them to Cid to save his life ... or not. The player earns the achievement "End of the World" for witnessing the Warring Triad revive and destroy the world. Celes leaves the cabin and exits to the Overworld. Overworld - Solitary Island (time 27:13): From the world map, one can see that the world has changed dramatically. Celes saves. Then, she returns to the Solitary Island cabin. Solitary Island (time 27:33): First, Celes will show how not to save Cid's life. She goes south from the cabin to the seashore. In the surf, there are fish of varying speeds. The faster fish are healthier and will cure Cid. The slower fish are sick, and eating them will kill Cid. Celes repeatedly catches the slowest fish she can find and returns to the cabin to feed them to Cid. This process is not difficult and does not take long. Eventually, Celes returns to the cabin to find Cid not moving (time 31:23). Examining him triggers a sad scene.
