Lenovo will be partnering with the Fedora project to begin offering 3 different styles of Linux powered ThinkPads, I think this is cool but I've really been one to harp on about Linux desktop, however, I do think that great Linux adoption will lead to some knock on effects that will benefit everyone.
When you first start doing frontend web development most people will start with JavaScript but in 2019 that's not the option that's is available. Whilst learning JavaScript is still incredibly important another option is TypeScript which is basically just the modern EcmaScript standard plus types and there's plenty of benefit that comes from working with a strongly typed language. If you're interested in some of the videos then be sure to watch the video.

Recently you may have seen a video about Thunderbird doing incredibly financially well and that's I don't think that's unique to Thunderbird, the tactics they used could very easily be applied to other projects with just a little bit of work

Linux package mangers are incredibly useful however there's one thing that stops that being the case, when packages conflict with each other for seemingly no reason, you should by all accounts be able to install them together but the package manager says no.

Today I'm going to do a quick run down of the syntax used within vimwiki, this is going to be on the default syntax not on any of the alternatives that are available, as this is my preferred way to do note taking within vimwiki, but if you want I'm happy to do videos on markdown mediawiki as well.

It's taken a while but Ubuntu is finally embracing pipewire for it's audio stack and dropping pulseaudio, it's nice to see more distros adopting this and hopefully it'll lead to big improvements outside of ubuntu.

Maybe you don't just want to use a regular file maybe you want a special editor just for doing your schedule and that's where something like Tibivi could potentially be useful, this tool is a vim inspired weekly scheduling app which while being incredibly simple does most of what I could possibly want from a scheduling app.

Easymotion is another one of those plugins I've been meaning to try out for months and I wish I had tried it sooner, this plugin makes moving around in vim so much easier especially when it comes to doing complex actions like moving around between splits, Vim Easymotion is by far the best vim motion plugin I have ever come across.

Debian is one of the very few distros with full on 32 bit support but that is taking it's first stage towards ending, soon there will be no images available and running Debian on one of these old systems is going to get quite a bit harder but it had to happen eventually.
