US talk about dialogue refuted
Press Statement of Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea
These days, the US side rouses public opinion that we do not accept a dialogue.
It represented the mentality of the United States which feels uneasy and restless after it has recently kept on witnessing what it is most afraid of.
Now the situation of the Korean peninsula has reached such a state as talking about the possibility of an actual armed conflict and the possibility of outbreak of a nuclear war far beyond the level of acute confrontation between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the United States in 2017.
We have already made clear who is responsible for all the situation. This time I'd like to clarify how preposterous it is for the United States to talk about a "dialogue without precondition" and the "door of diplomacy open".
We have made dialogue and negotiations with the United States many a time since the 90s of the last century. So we know well enough that a trick to stop what they fear is lurking behind the proposal of the present US Administration for a "dialogue without precondition".
Supposedly, it is evident that even if a DPRK-US dialogue is open, the package the present US Administration would put on the negotiating table is nothing but the "Completely Verifiable and Irreversible Dismantlement".
Now the word of denuclearization does not work in the reality. It may be seen in a dictionary of archaic words.
No matter how hard the United States may rack its brains, could it on earth find out what can be conditions for negotiations and dealings with us now?
Of course, a possibility can be reckoned that the United States may stimulate somebody's appetite by presenting again such outdated trick as temporary suspension of the US-south Korea joint military exercises its predecessor had committed some years before and using something reversible such as the reduction of combined military exercises and the suspension of deployment of strategic assets at the most.
We will be never cheated by such a frivolous trick for buying time.
In case the US strategic assets enter the Korean peninsula, their deployment will be finished in more than 10 hours when they are determined, and 20 days will be enough at the longest to resume the joint military exercises by recommitting troops.
Of course, it is fantastic, but we know well that even if the United States withdraws all its troops and hardware from south Korea under the pretext of a strategic trick like the withdrawal of the US forces from south Korea, it will take only about half a month to redeploy US forces overseas and make south Korea a point of military importance.
It is a piece of cake in the US political circles to clear others of the bad name of "terror-sponsor state" now and brand them as terror-sponsor states again afterwards.
After all, what the United States can present us in the venue of dialogue is all variable and reversible. We know it too clearly.
By the way, what the United States wants from us is "complete and irreversible denuclearization".
Then, is it right for us to barter the eternal security of our state for the immediate interests, believing in the commitment assuming the reversible character?
We do not act against our own interests.
Now the United States will suffice to know why we are not interested in the dialogue at all.
Through the recent UN Security Council meeting concerning our new-type intercontinental ballistic missile launch, we could clearly confirm once again how our enemy have prolonged their policy toward the DPRK and what sweet dream they are dreaming along with the change of the governments from Moon Jae In to Yoon Suk Yeol and from Trump to Biden.
It is the United States of America and south Korea that though the former president signs something, a new government changes it as easily as turning a hand.
That is why we should not conceive our strategy for individuals like Yoon Suk Yeol and Biden but map out a long-term strategy for south Korea, the top-class stooge of the United States, and the United States of America, the empire of world evils, and establish a prospective system for ensuring security of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the basis of overwhelming deterrence.
It is a wild dream that the United States thinks it can stop our advance with the temporary suspension of joint military exercises, a halt to the deployment of strategic assets and the reversible ease of sanctions and furthermore, it can realize irreversible disarmament.
We look squarely at the reality and attach importance to it.

Two annual rings were run since the historic June 12 summit talks between the DPRK and the USA.
We need to see what the world has witnessed and what lesson the history learned from the DPRK-US relations during this not-a-short period that spans 732 days.
What stands out is that the hope for improved DPRK-US relations--which was high in the air under the global spotlight two years ago--has now been shifted into despair characterized by spiraling deterioration and that even a slim ray of optimism for peace and prosperity on the Korean peninsula has faded away into a dark nightmare.
The desire of the peoples of two countries to put a period to the world's most antagonistic relations between the DPRK and the US and to open a new cooperative era of peace and prosperity runs deep as ever. Yet the situation on the Korean peninsula is daily taking a turn for the worse.
This is substantiated by the DPRK-US relations during the past two years.
A total shutdown of the northern nuclear test site, repatriation of scores of American POW/MIA remains, special pardon for the convicted felons of US nationality who were held in detention--all these measures taken by our Supreme Leadership are indisputably significant ones of epoch-making resolve.
Especially, we made a strategic determination whereby we took an initiative for suspending nuclear test and test launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles in order to build confidence between the DPRK and the US.
Such being the case, we should now turn to examining what has been done for the last two years by the US, a party to the agreement, who has very often expressed gratitude for our measures of high determination.
"No testing, getting remains."
"Hostages returned."
These are what the master of the White House representing the US reeled off time and time again as a boast.
The US professes to be an advocate for improved relations with the DPRK, but in fact, it is hell-bent on only exacerbating the situation. As a result, the Korean peninsula has now turned into the world's most dangerous hot spot haunted uninterruptedly by the ghost of nuclear war, streaming completely against a durable and lasting peace which has been committed to by both sides.
The DPRK is still on the US list of targets for preemptive nuclear strike, and all kinds of nuclear strike tools held by the US are aimed directly at the DPRK. This is the stark reality of the present day.
Typical evidences are nuclear strategic bombers, which fly any time into the south Korean airspace for nuclear strike drills, and aircraft carrier strike groups which bustle around the seas surrounding south Korea.
The US is introducing a large number of modern, cutting-edge hardware like stealth fighters and reconnaissance drones worth tens of billions of US $ in order to
