It's a sign of how awful things are on YouTube that, by May 2019, I was afraid to publish even this video. It's a short speech that I gave in the hills of County Wicklow, near Dublin. Quite a lot of effort went into the filming, and I am very thankful to the people who helped with that. One of the casualties of not publishing this speech at the time is that it has been made largely obsolete by the post-2019 changes to the world order. That's too bad. I present it here as a historical document, of the outlook on life that was still possible, and the hopes that were still plausible, in the world that existed before 2020.
