UKRAiNATV emerged at the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, creating a live-streaming collective that unites art, activism, and technology. Broadcasting live from the gateway Kraków, StreamArtStudio created a hub for war-displaced refugees. We've become a multi-platform outlet for young voices that remain unheard in traditional media. Using innovative technologies we blur boundaries between real and virtual, fostering a 'glocal' space that welcomes diversity. The collective wants to be an engine for social change that redefines the narratives around war, media and art. Since March 2022 we've hosted content from DJs, writers and performance artists from Ukraine, Poland, Belarus and beyond. This cultivated in a cross-European network. We plan to open a studio in Kyiv and need financial support for staff and artists in Kyiv, Kraków and the network with the aim to pioneer a sustainable model that can be emulated, facilitating the creation of similar small, resilient networks in the region. * * * Fundacja 36,6: Founder and manager of the original studio in Krakow whose task it is to do weekly live webcasts, coordinate the network, foster collaborations, maintain the web archive, conduct research and set up residencies. Has history of successful cooperation with UKRAiANTV through Tactical Media Room, a cultural Ukraine support campaign (together with Waag). Waag: Amsterdam-based technological partner with expertise in digital culture and development of open-source platforms, in this case the founding of a video streaming PeerTube server.
