Sunda Kelapa is the old port of Jakarta. I heard that you can actually jump on a local boat and go to a village and also see the old wooden boats that are still in use. Upon my arrival I met a friendly man that showed the way but it turned out he was only friendly to then charge me 25 euro for a 1 hour guided tour. I kindly declined and went my own way. I got invited on a taxi boat from a local man and after some confusion he charged me 200k Indonesian Rupiah which was definitely way too high but I wasn't in the mood to cause any drama so I paid and left. After that I conquered my fear to get on a wooden schooner and got shown around there by the captain. Before arriving to Nepal I had no idea of the existence of Lumbini and I knew even less that it's the birthplace of Buddha. After receiving soooo many comments asking to go to Lumbini it really sparked my interest so I decided to go for it. After Pokhara I took a very bumpy bus to Lumbini, to discover the place where Buddha was born. And as so many signs say Buddha was indeed born in Nepal! Join me in this episode where I meet some street kids and their parents and share some sugar cane juice with them. Afterwards I did a huuuge temple run. I visited pretty much all the temples that were open that day. After that I had some delicious Indian food with Jack, my new friend from Mumbai that has 2 (or 3) wives.
