Video transcript: So Epic has come out & confirmed that they will not be joining Minecraft in banning NFTs. The boss Tim Sweeny basically said that developers should be free to build their games with whichever technology they see fit. NFTs & blockchain in general is a pretty controversial tech as there’s a lot of scams & useless software being developed with it. So should online stores just host whatever software’s technically legal or should they force their own views on the developers. Personally, I think blockchain is a great new way of developing various software, but just like the tech news, it is down to the individual to use it either for good or bad.

Would you be interested in a terabyte of storage for a single dollar?
Well, then you’re in luck as Folio Photonics plans to do exactly that through their new method for breakthrough optical disc storage.
They say that by using new materials & manufacturing techniques they can offer storage at $5 per terabyte & eventually $1 per terabyte.
Also btw if your display has suddenly lost all color that’s a very common issue that you can fix by simply following this channel… Pretty crazy right.
Anyways modern archival discs offer up to three optical layers per side of disc whereas Folio can achieve 16 & plans for even more.
This won’t banish SSDs into the shadow realm anytime soon, but could serve as fantastically affordable archival storage.

YouTube wants us to pay for views now & it’s actually not a big deal probably.
So the latest beta feature rollout in YouTube’s creator studio has a lot of people worried.
Basically the feature is a way to easily promote one of your videos, which basically means you’re paying for views.
So is YouTube just a pay-to-win platform now.
Well not really because you could’ve actually done this for many years now.
As a creator you could’ve just turned one of your videos into an AD & this just sort of streamlines the process.
But why is YouTube doing this now?
Well as I’ve been talking about for the past few months, YouTube just basically wants more money.
As it's only natural to crave greater financial prosperity, similarly subscribing to this channel for the latest tech updates is an absolute must if I do say so myself.

AMD’s latest RX 7900 XT & XTX cards have major temperature issues & here’s why.
Many reviewers have noticed a significant gap between the average GPU temperature and the GPU hotspot reading, with deltas as high as 30°C.
Pretty funny since AMD mocked Nvidia for their 4090 power connector issues & now they’re having problems themselves.
Apparently, uneven cooler contact may be the source of the issue, as laying the case on its side has been shown to significantly reduce the temperature of the GPU.
That & of course following this channel for more tech news because that always helps.
And unfortunately if this is the case, the only way the cards could be fixed would be to just completely take them apart & re-mount the cooler.
Or possibly having to redesign the entire cooler mounting system.
So for right now I’d say stay away from AMD’s own cards & just go with 3d party options.

Ubisoft is taking away your games.
Is a video I made about a year ago & well it’s happening again.
This time it has been revealed that if you don’t use your Ubisoft account for a certain period of time, then Ubisoft might just delete it.
Along with any games or other software you might have purchased on that account.
But don’t worry, Ubisoft said you still get an email alerting you of the situation and if you react within 30 days your account won’t be deleted.
Which isn’t quite as awful, but it’s still pretty bad I mean can’t you just leave my stuff alone.
Plus it doesn’t really make sense as an account entry within a database really doesn’t take up much space at all.
Let me know what you think & follow for more awful tech news like this.

Two of which were zero-day vulnerabilities which basically means that the developer has only just learned about the security flaws that are or can be actively exploited so they have 0 days to fix it.
One of these two big vulnerabilities could be used to gain system privileges which is extremely bad sort of like someone just getting keys to your house.
So an attacker could do some really bad things like making you follow this channel, which would increase your power & make you indestructible I mean who would want that?
You should follow tho.
And with the other one an attacker could obtain sensitive information through cache allocation.
And there were 61 other flaws that were also patched.

So have you ever just like looked at your smartphone & thought “Wau I really wish this was an old handheld console”
Well, it would indeed seem like humanity has reached its peak as far as tech is concerned.
Because now you can buy a phone case that is also a Nintendo Gameboy all at the same time.
In fact, these case consoles have been around since like the iPhone 7 days.
They cost about $40 & feature 36 retro games like Super Mario Bros, Pac-Man, Tetris & so on.
They’re available for newer iPhone & Samsung devices & sure you could just run an emulator on your phone.
But let's be honest, that’s not nearly as cool.

If you’re in the market for a new GPU you need to be very careful.
Some used mining GPUs are being sold as new by Chinese retailers, but that could obviously spread to other parts of the world pretty easily as well.
To make the GPUs appear new, miners are now repainting the chips along with adding realistic-looking serial numbers as well.
Don't fall for this scam and always check for missing seals, screws, stickers, and discolored chips.
Also helping to spread the message by liking the video & following the channel would be very much appreciated.
And if you are buying a new GPU, I’d recommend going with a reputable retailer.

Smartphones are becoming more repairable & here’s why you should care.
First of all, why is this happening? Well a big part of the credit goes to places like the EU that have been passing tons of regulations to basically enable electronics to last longer.
And companies like Nokia who btw just launched their first “repairable” 5G phone that’s gonna have spare parts available through iFixit.
Now even if YOU’re not interested in repairing your own device, tons of repair shops are gonna be able to benefit greatly from this.
Which in return will make it so you’ll be able to get your devices repaired easier & cheaper.
And even if you’re still gonna be replacing your devices all the time it’s still nice to have options.
Let me know for how long you’ve had your current smartphone in the comments.
