'Jonny's Rotten Apple' is an Ericksonian hypnosis story from the book 'Relaxing Tales for Children' (for ages 4-7) which is a collection of eleven hypnotic stories to help children relax. In this story Jonny gets an apple from his uncle Dave. He is told the apple will bring him luck, so he is told not to get rid of it. He wonders what luck it will bring him. Each story contains something educational or a positive moral message, as well as giving something for the child to focus on which can help them to relax. The stories are most effective when they are read to the child face-to-face so that they can be read timed to the child's breathing and natural responses rather than at a generic pace as this story is here. In this video I talk about self soothing. The world can be a very overwhelming place with so much sensory information coming in all the time, so having strategies to calm myself down are vital. Due to a request, this story also helps with giving a sense of security. This is a long sleep story for grownups created during a livestream with ideas from viewers. This healing sleep story for grownups is a bedtime story for grownups about twin women out on a boat trip together for their 18th birthday. They head to an island setup camp for the night, they chat, eat and enjoy each others company on the night-time beach before settling down to sleep in their tent. The next day, they hike into the centre of the island, they follow the river in towards the centre of the island. They look at a map to try to find a chest buried on this island. They find and open the chest, finding an old book, a small box, a letter and gold. They take some of the bits from the chest back to their tent and set about trying to translate the book and letter. They discovered that the letter and book were the writings of two witches. The information led them to a house on the mainland which the key in the box was for. The next day, they head back to the mainland, head home, decipher more of the book and letter and then go on their bikes in search of the house. They find the derelict house, enter the house, find a door leading to a room deep under the house. Off the room, they discovered a secret passage. They followed the passage to a room of mirrors with a seat in the middle of the room. The twins sat down on the seat. They could see themselves in the mirrors surrounding them. The twins read one of the spells from the book about good fortune for the future. While reading, colours of light pulsed in the room until pulsing so fast the light became white, then they noticed what seemed to be a garden that they were sat in. They looked out over this beautiful garden, outside the garden they can see a meadow, see someone walking a dog, see birds, squirrels and other animals. As they look behind them, they notice a beautiful cottage and realise that this is a representation of a possible future of theirs. They understand that this experience is transformative for them. As they finish the spell, they find themselves back in the room. After their experience, they left the room, headed back to the main building where they saw an elderly woman stood in front of them. They spoke with the woman who gave them a bracelet each. Once the woman put on the bracelets, the property reverted to look how it used to look.
