From possibly one of the best Mob movies since Goodfellas / Casino, Black Mass with Johnny Depp playing James "Whitey" Bulger.
The scene depicts the shooting of Brian Halloran, who had become so paranoid and afraid that Bulger was going to kill him, he went to the FBI for protection. However, corrupt agent John Connolly let Bulger know what Halloran was doing.
While the scene is intended for entertainment purposes, it is quite a bit from the truth, Halloran's murder didn't occur as depicted.
Larry Dunne arrested and deported from Portugal

Jimmy Burke was a criminal who was notorious for his involvement in the theft of $5 million worth of cash and jewels from the Lufthansa Airlines cargo terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport on December 11, 1978.
In 1965, Jimmy “The Gent” Burke was convicted for armed robbery and sentenced to seven years in prison. After his release in 1972, Burke continued with his criminal activities by committing various robberies and burglaries throughout New York City until December 11, 1978 when he orchestrated one of the largest thefts ever committed on American soil at that time - $6 million worth of cash and jewels from Lufthansa Airlines cargo
The robbery itself was executed with precision, timing, planning and inside help. The gang waited for the airport to close for the night before they arrived, then quickly overpowered security guards, grabbed the cash, and made their escape.
The Lufthansa Heist is still one of the biggest heists to date.

Legs Diamond - Fatty Walsh - Lucky Luciano
Jack "Legs" Diamond, a notorious mobster during Prohibition, rose to infamy as a prominent figure in American organized crime. Born in Philadelphia, he later moved to New York.
Diamond mentored younger mobsters like Lucky Luciano and Dutch Schultz but was infamous for double-crossing partners and hijacking their booze shipments.
Surviving multiple assassination attempts, he earned the nickname "The Clay Pigeon of the Underworld."
The photo captured Diamond before his surrender to police for questioning following a shooting at the Hotsy Totsy Club, which he co-owned. The club incident led to a series of retaliatory murders. Diamond's criminal career ended when he was shot and killed in 1931. His funeral was sparsely attended due to his treacherous reputation.
Similarly, his wife Alice Kenny Diamond was murdered after his death. Other figures linked to Diamond, like Fatty Walsh, met violent ends as well.
Lucky Luciano, despite surviving a kidnapping attempt, went on to shape modern organized crime and establish the Luciano Family, later known as the Genovese Family, before his imprisonment and eventual exile in Italy.
