These are my thoughts on the news of another Lethal Weapon film. But to sum up?
Unneeded and pointless movie. I would bet the studio is only thinking of this because of the box office success of Bad Boys For Life. I like the first 3 Lethal Weapon films. 4 had its' issues. But this? I don't need to see action heroes become this old. I know it's a harsh thing to say but we don't need to see the action heroes we grew up with (Rambo, John McClane, Rocky, Riggs & Murtaugh) as old & ancient like this.
There's no 'interesting stories' to tell with this...if it's a story of 'their sons/daughters'? Not interesting and has been done in other movies. The two characters dealing with aging? They already did that in the fourth movie. A new team working with our characters? Would be a rip-off of the story told in Bad Boys for Life and other flicks. There's no need or desire for this, and the general public are not crying out for more Lethal Weapon films. Studios need to try out new stories to create new franchises. Will they always succeed? No. But they need to try instead of consistently trying to resuscitate old franchises to squeeze out Nostalgia Dollars. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ7_y5VrwTY

Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie (abbreviated as AVGN: The Movie) is a 2014 American science fiction adventure comedy film written and directed by James Rolfe and Kevin Finn. It is based on the web series of the same name, also created by Rolfe, with himself as the lead character.
The story centers around the then urban legend of the mass burial of millions of copies of the 1982 Atari 2600 video game E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, proclaimed as the "worst video game of all time".
After a longstanding refusal to address the game in his web series, the Nerd succumbs to pressure by fans to review the video game, embarking on a quest to prove that there is nothing buried there.
However, the crew is pursued by federal authorities, led by the villainous General Dark Onward, who believes he is investigating Area 51 and the crash of an unidentified flying object.

Police Story is a 1985 Hong Kong action–crime film written and directed by Jackie Chan, who also stars in the lead role.
It is the first of the Police Story series featuring Chan as Hong Kong police detective "Kevin" Chan Ka-Kui, starring alongside Brigitte Lin and Maggie Cheung. Chan began work on the film after a disappointing experience working with the director James Glickenhaus on The Protector, which was intended to be his entry into the American film market.
Police Story contains many large-scale action scenes with elaborate, dangerous stunts. The film includes an opening sequence featuring a car chase through a shanty town, an action scene where Chan is dangling from a speeding double-decker bus before he stops it with his service revolver, and a climactic fight scene in a shopping mall with a large number of glass panes being broken.
The latter scene ends with a dangerous stunt where, from several stories up, Chan slides down a pole covered with dangling electric lights, which explode as he slides down and then falls to the ground.

This time I review a piece of classic filmmaking.
All the President's Men is a 1976 film about the Watergate scandal, which brought down the presidency of Richard M. Nixon.
Directed by Alan J. Pakula with a screenplay by William Goldman, it is based on the 1974 non-fiction book of the same name by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward, the two journalists investigating the Watergate scandal for The Washington Post.
The film stars Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman as Woodward and Bernstein, respectively; it was produced by Walter Coblenz for Redford's Wildwood Enterprises.
All the President's Men is the third work in what informally came to be known as Pakula's "paranoia trilogy". The other two films in the trilogy are Klute (1971) and The Parallax View (1974).
The film was nominated in multiple Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA categories, and in 2010 was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
