A short video I found on a Minni-DV (it's a tape, youngsters) and mostly me just acting silly with my friends.
I've got some changes that will be going into effect on this channel soon. I thought that I would ride this weekend and record a much needed vlog. But.....it's friggin snowing!! It's April 9th for crying out loud! At any rate, here is a short video I recorded in April of 2007. There is no footage of me on the track as I was the one with the camera. Just as well, it was my first time on a track and there was nothing impressive with my riding performance.

I'll do another video with a better view and description of the way it is mounted on this frame. I have a large as well as a medium Alice Pack. I've seen a lot of modification videos, frame mods, frames from PVC. I have a few of these aluminum frames lying around and one of them seems to work great with this pack. I've also added some Molle II straps and kidney/waist belt. So far, so good. I had a love/hate relationship with these packs from 1984-2004. They are build to last and can be modded to fit the needs of the owner. Even thought the cammo patterns don't match I still like this set-up. I'll definitely make a video the first chance I get to actually use this in the bush.

The sleep system bag I received was in a plastic bag, but the inside was covered in black mold. I soaked it in some bleach water, dried it, washed it in the washer with bleach and hot water. It cleaned most of it up. I've sent 3 emails to them asking about the mold issue, but they have yet to respond. Just wanted to share that. The suspenders and waist pad were brand new, pristine, even.

In my last video I mentioned camping gear and commented that I would add it to the end of the video. I failed to do that, but only because the video tuned into over 17 minutes long. I did lay out a few items and plan to record severl clips this week of all the decisions I need to make concerning a shelter, tent, tarp, which tent...etc. Also, which knife, I have a few. Saws, I have a few, stoves, pots, skillet, etc..too many. So far, this about the quantity of gear I plan to take, but I can swap items out in the same category....sigh....life is hard...lol!!
