The moon will eclipse the sun from SDO's perspective in geosynchronous orbit on March 4th 2011 in a very unique way. The moon will first barely graze the sun from above and head down in SDO's camera, then a few minutes later it will appear again and head the opposite direction, this time covering slightly more of the solar disc. As far as I know it will be the first time any man-made craft has recorded images of a "double solar eclipse" caused by retrograde motion. This video shows the view from SDO's position in orbit, generated using Celestia.

*Midnight Bug: I recently discovered a bug with the table which only occurs if the current time is set to 0hr 0min 0sec UT (regardless of date). To get around this bug set the date to previous day and the time to 23hr 59min 60sec to obtain accurate values for midnight UT.
