Enjoy this short commission animation of Egee asleep at his post on Sevastopol Station! It was made by the lovely @MerlinMakes!
I added an extended intro & music for this video but she did all the animation/scenes!
The shifts at Sevastopol Station are usually pretty long but not this long! Egee was supposed to be relieved hours ago but his relief never arrived, the coms have been strangely silent, and nobody has been to this side of the station since the start of his shift. Might as well catch some shut-eye since nobody is around..
This stream was right after Echo was released and you would be hard pressed to find a match without somebody playing her. Overwatch runs on Linux with Lutris dxvk.

It's finally time to compare KDE vs XFCE resource usages and performance! Which is faster? Which is "lighter"? Which provides the best gaming performance?
The versions of KDE Plasma Desktop and Xfce Desktop in question are:
KDE 5.18.5
Xfce 4.14.2
KDE is written with Qt whereas Xfce is written in GTK2/3.
This video is the spiritual successor to another video I made in 2017 comparing Xfce to KDE here - https://youtu.be/80cVpHnf31M

The venerable openSUSE Linux distribution gets a new release - Leap 42.2!
OpenSUSE is a terribly underrated Linux distribution in my opinion. Leap is super ultrastable, and Tumbleweed is the stable rolling-release distribution that Linux users crave.
OpenSUSE Leap is based in large part on SUSE Enterprise Linux 12 and to my knowledge is the only Linux distribution that uses parts of an existing enterprise Linux distribution.
OpenSUSE Leap 42.2, of course, replaces Leap 42.1. Compare to the previous release, openSUSE Leap 42.2 has some 17% more packages.
NEW FEATURES:
• Systemd updated to version 228
• KDE Plasma 5.8
• Gnome 3.20
• Several rewritten and enhanced YaST modules, including the installer
• OpenStack client (not available in Leap 42.1!)
• Linux Kernel 4.4 with paravirtualization

Installing a different desktop environment on SteamOS is pretty easy, you'll just need to reset the "auto-login" setting.
You may have noticed a user named "egee". Creating and setting up a user is a bit more advanced and I might cover it in another video. For pretty much every basic user task, using the default "desktop" user works just fine.
If you're still using SteamOS Alchemist, these steps *should* be the exact same. I did this how-to using Brewmaster.

Frozen Bubble is a really simple bubble-popping game that was also one of the original native Linux games. I found the music in this game to be phenomenal. Sure, it's not on par with AAA games like Deus Ex, but it doesn't have to be. Frozen Bubble is a simple game with modest origins. One guy did all the programming and another guy did the music. It's quite spectacular.

Teal and I gear up again for some more War Thunder. These ground assault missions are really fun but notoriously difficult. It would help if we knew what we were doing!
Played on Debian Testing (Bookworm).

Is ArcoLinux the best Arch Linux installer out there? Is it even a Linux distribution in its own right? How does it perform compared to vanilla Arch?
Distro Delves is a series where I try out various Linux Distros (or other OSes) and give my thoughts about them at the end of the episode.
Episodes aren't meant to be comprehensive; they are short informational & opinionated reviews from a desktop user's perspective! Learn more about the series here - https://distrodelves.io/faq
