Summer is here and I can finally take my boat out again. It ran for about five and a half minutes on full throttle on one full charge. A fun little boat but it would be more fun if to race with someone. I would like to design and build something faster now though.
It runs at about 25 km/h and works like it should. No overheating, the battery and motor were slightly warn to the touch. The steering is fine but it doesn't center perfectly. I haven't reached the limit of the radiorange yet and I went far enough that it became tiny i the distance, sothe range is great.
First successful flight with my Boxfat. I removed the gear doors and that solved the dutch rolling issue. It flies incredibly well and has gobs of power. ~5000 W of power and unknown kgf of thrust.

Maiden flight and second flight with my new EL-39. The first one (prototype) is retired and hanging in my garage. This is a new one made using the updated STL files from my Cults page. I painted it uring Army-Paint colors in Russian livery which I think looks good. The to larger canopy parts are clear PLA with automotive clear coat which is almost clear. It's about 700g heavier than the prototype but flies the same. This one has flaps.
The first flight was the maiden, so it was a bit nervous. I spent 3600 mAh on the maiden flight. The second flight is more like I used to fly the prototype. I spent 2700 mAh on the second flight.

The maiden flight with my Macchi C.205 Veltro. It's stable and smooth. More stable than my CMP P-40. The CG was at 90 mm from the leading edge, immediately outboard of the LE root extensions.
It's very quiet, and the cowl openings seem to make a whistling sound at speed.

I replaced the screaming fan in my Starmax F-5 with a FMS fan. It sounds better now. It's a bit more powerful with this fan, as it fdraws about 300 W more, so I decided to try with a 3S as well. It flew fine on 3S. Probably close to the old fan in performance, or very slightly less performance.

I drove out to the field and there were noone there... again.

Flying my Dancing Wings Hobby Fokker Eindecker (from kit) and my VQ Hornet/SubSonex (ARF). I'm not sure why the SubSonex pitched down when I increased throttle to go around. The nacelle is angled down to compensate for the high thrust line so it shouldn't do that normally.
